OOC: I found some pictures of outfits that both Lilith and Cassie's AIs have worn that may resemble clothes that are in Lilith's closet, if you want some inspiration or things to choose from, or just would like a visual of what is in my head. =3 Cassie's Possible Outfits | Lilith's Possible OutfitsBIC: Lilith EytingeCassie looked down, giving an embarrassed sort of grimace. "Uh...I sort of decided it would be a good idea to go for a run. In thirty-degree weather. Six miles of it, actually. Yeah, not my finest hour. I'm gonna be so sore later, too..."Lilith's eyes widened. She wasn't sure if Cassie was really the running type, but she knew that six miles of anything was completely deranged. “You're one of those insane people, aren't you?” she teased, arching an eyebrow at her friend. “I'm surprised you aren't dead asleep right now.” But aside from her previous moments of crazy, she decided they should deal with the wet and cold of the moment. Lilith studied Cassie for a moment head to toe, standing there looking so small and ridiculous in her wet hair and ugly sweater. “You know, I might have some extra sweaters for you to borrow, you don't look like you're too far from my size...want to see?” Cassie broke into a smile. "That would be awesome, if you don't mind. A lot of my warm stuff was actually at my dad's, and it kind of got reduced to ashes in the fire..." she gave a little shrug. Lilith made no answer, her face solemn at the mention of the house burning. A lot of my stuff went that way, too.. Wasn't it amazing how similar two people could be sometimes? "And I have some at my mom's, but I keep putting off actually going over there to get it. Thanks."“It's not problem at all, as long as it gets back eventually, I don't mind,” she led the way to the room, feeling strange for a moment with Cassie in her 'space'. But before long she brushed it off and opened up the closet, which likely wouldn't fit a single article of clothing more before exploding. In fact, it looked like it already had, along with all the costumes from the local theatre. She looked over at Cassie from the girl's seat on the bed, a little proud of herself when she saw the look of surprise. "Woah!" she cried, laughing in approval. "Lilith Eytinge, secret fashionista!"Lilith flushed at the flattery, smiling despite herself. “Yeah, I know. I'm obsessed. But at least I don't spend a ton of money on it. I can be thrifty and obsessed!” Well, not a ton of money.. relatively. "Hey, there's nothing wrong with obsessions like this," Cassie said as Lilith began tossing sweaters and jackets onto the bed, describing each in turn before she moved onto the next. They went through about a dozen possible sweaters, each with its own hidden story, and each with a brief comment from its owner. When she had finished, Cassie gave another laugh, shaking her head. "Wow. I am impressed. I'm gonna get them all wet from my hair, though, hold on. I'll be right back."Cassie raced from the room like a giddy kindergartener and went to fetch something for her hair. Meanwhile, Lilith trailed her fingers along a long white corsetted dress she had worn years ago to a party with Cat. He had liked it on her. She'd taken hours to put her hair up and get pretty for that party. Cassie came back and Lilith was torn from her reverie, a soft smile automatically coming to her lips. She chose the v-neck that Lilith liked best, and she was happy to see it fit her in a lovely way. ”Wow, these are awesome..."“Take your pick, or feel free to dig through my collection, if you wish! I make most of them, or at least rework them from thrift store outfits. A few of them are pretty treasure finds, though. Like the knitted sweaters and stuff.” Cassie crept over to the closet, one hand holding the jacket tightly around herself while the other browsed the variety of clothes inside. "I'm so jealous...I've tried to make things, but it always turns out looking like a seventh-grade home ec project."Lilith giggled, “I always liked to make clothes for my dolls when I was little. When I started my teens it just kept going, and I got a job making costumes. It was very fun at times, but very boring after awhile..I don't think I would like it as a career. Just something for fun I like to do. The design is more entertaining than the sewing, definitely.” She smiled, "You know what? It's weird, but with every single outfit, I have this image in my head of the girl who is behind the costume. That's why some of them are pretty out there..haha." She moved to the closet and pulled out a long, black, tule dress and held it out for Cassie to see. “This one,” she cooed, “Hasn't had a chance to be broken in yet, I'm afraid. Want to try it on?”

Cassandra "Cassie" Wright
"Hey, there's nothing wrong with obsessions like this," watching with an air of what could almost be described as fascination as she watched Lilith fling possible sweaters onto the bed for her to try on. It was strange, to know that even after months of sharing an apartment there were still so many things she didn't know about her roommate. For all she knew, that was exactly what Lilith wanted--she and Cassie both seemed to share a tendency to be a bit withdrawn. Cassie tried to share things as best she could, to make Lilith feel that they were more like friends than just roommates, but it was still difficult. Even so, Lilith knew about the fire, about Cassie's friends and classes at school, had met Shelby and Chloe on separate occasions--all the while keeping Cassie in the dark about her own life. Cassie didn't know where she was from, who her friends were. Little things slipped through every so often, like what sort of music Lilith liked to listen to, but Cassie couldn't help but be curious as to what else she didn't know, what other little quirks or secrets like a closet full of amazing clothes Lilith was hiding.
"Wow. I am impressed," she told Lilith with a grin as she stood up. "I'm gonna get them all wet from my hair, though, hold on. I'll be right back." She raced to her room to find a hair clip, pinning up the thick wet tendrils of red hair that clung to her neck. When she came back, she was immediately drawn to the pile of clothes on the bed like a moth to a lamp, running her hand across all the different fabrics. ”Wow, these are awesome..." she murmured, slipping the V-neck over her head and following it up with the fuzzy jacket. Instantly, she felt enveloped in a bit of warmth, and she burrowed into the soft folds of the jacket searching for more. Much better.
At Lilith's encouragement, Cassie stepped forward to peek at the rest of the clothes in the closet, feeling like a customer in a department store as she flipped through them. "I'm so jealous..." she commented as her fingers brushed a bright yellow belted dress. "I've tried to make things, but it always turns out looking like a seventh-grade home ec project."
Lilith let out a giggle at that. “I always liked to make clothes for my dolls when I was little. When I started my teens it just kept going, and I got a job making costumes."
Cassie turned to Lilith, eyebrows raised in surprise. "Really? Like at a theatre? Awesome!"
"It was very fun at times, but very boring after awhile..I don't think I would like it as a career. Just something for fun I like to do. The design is more entertaining than the sewing, definitely. You know what? It's weird, but with every single outfit, I have this image in my head of the girl who is behind the costume. That's why some of them are pretty out there..haha."
Cassie shook her head. "No, I get it...I sort of used to get the same way about my sketches, back when I would draw people I saw in my head instead of real ones. I was better at drawing my daydreams than real life, back then, if that makes sense. So, yeah, I get what you mean."
She watched as Lilith crossed to the closet, rifling through until she found what she was apparently looking for--a long, gauzy black dress, held onto the hanger by one off-the-shoulder strap. Cassie's face lit up in a smile as she watched Lilith look at the gown, her gaze gentle and full of what almost looked like pride. “This one hasn't had a chance to be broken in yet, I'm afraid. Want to try it on?”
Cassie held out one hand to touch the tulle fabric, looking at the dress longingly. "It's beautiful. I'd love to...I'll get cold again, though..." she added, staring at the dress and weighing the pros and cons. It was a beautiful dress, and would probably fit her, by the looks of it, but she'd only just gotten warm...was it worth it to freeze to death just for a dress?
She laughed, shaking her head as her resolve broke. "Beauty wins out over warmth. I'll try it on." Off came the warm haven of the jacket and V-neck, both of which Cassie put gently back onto the bed. Then, she peeled off the ugly sweater from Ilaria, revealing the simple black tank top underneath before turning to study the walk-in closet thoughtfully. "Think it'll fit both me and the dress?" she asked, not really expecting an answer. "I'll give it a shot." Grabbing the dress, she carefully made her way into the packed closet, shutting the door just enough as to not be seen but keeping it slightly open. Once the dress was on, she did a few experimental turns, wishing the closet had a mirror so she could see herself.
"Ta-da?" she said, poking her head out at Lilith before opening the door all the way and twirling around, her face reddening. "How does it look?"

Lilith Eytinge
"It was very fun at times,” she said, referring to her working as a seamstress. She hadn't mentioned where, and Cassie hadn't asked, but looking back, Lilith was proud of herself for that time. “But very boring after awhile..I don't think I would like it as a career.
Lilith smiled at that, glad for having someone who not only understood, but experienced that feeling herself. She then went to the closing, pushing through the hundreds of articles of clothing before pulling out one of her newest dresses she'd made and holding it out to Cassie. The girl's entire face began to emanate a glow as she looked at it. “This one hasn't had a chance to be broken in yet, I'm afraid. Want to try it on?”
Cassie held out one hand to touch the tulle fabric, looking at the dress longingly. "It's beautiful. I'd love to...I'll get cold again, though..."
Lilith giggled at that, “We'll turn the heat up! Come oooon..you know you want to.”
She laughed, shaking her head as her resolve broke. "Beauty wins out over warmth. I'll try it on." Off came the warm haven of the jacket and V-neck, both of which Cassie put gently back onto the bed. Then, she peeled off the cursed-ugly sweater before walking over to the closet. "Think it'll fit both me and the dress? I'll give it a shot." Cassie took the dress and did her best to use the closet doors as a shield, while Lilith raced out to turn up the heater to a ridiculous height, the light roar accompanying her return to the room. She sat down on the bed, picking up a tan knitted hat that had been tossed there and pulling it down over her hair, adjusting the roll of the brim while she waited.
"Ta-da?" Cassie said, poking her head out at Lilith before opening the door all the way and twirling around, looking adorably nervous. "How does it look?"
It fit her just right, and Lilith beamed. She was taller than Cassie, but it still seemed to work, since the huge difference was in the legs. But Cassie wasn't short, either. So that just meant the hem brushed the ground, instead of revealing Cassie's toes. Otherwise, it hung off her pale shoulder, contrasting with her damp red hair. “Resplendent,” she declared, reaching up to adjust the shoulder piece, taking a quick turn around the girl to inspect that all the tulle was in place. “It fits you like a glove, Cassie-andra! You look so pretty!” She then raced over to the closet, pulling out a much shorter, lavender number with what appeared to be thick lacing up the sides, and a long-sleeved jacket to match. “Try this next? It'll look better with your red hair than with my black...”

Cassandra "Cassie" Wright
The beautiful frothy dress taunted Cassie, tempting her to shed the protective sweaters in favor of a look that offered less protection from the cold but so much more in the way of beauty. She was already imagining what the black fabric would look like in contrast to her hair and skin, but her mind forced her to hold back, reminding her of the goosebumps still covering every exposed inch of skin. Why did I have to go on that stupid run, anyway? It didn't even help. I'll take a little of this 'fashion therapy' over running through the stress any day of the week. She ran a hand along the gauzy cloth of the dress, surprised to find it was softer than the mesh-like appearance had led her to believe. "It's beautiful. I'd love to...I'll get cold again, though..."
Lilith let out a laugh, obviously not accepting that as an answer. “We'll turn the heat up! Come oooon..you know you want to.”
That did it--Cassie burst out laughing, shaking her head as she accepted the dress. "Beauty wins out over warmth. I'll try it on." As quickly as she could, as if that would stop the cold from attacking her again, she took off the jacket, V-neck, and Evil Bus Sweater before giving the walk-in closet a thoughtful glance. "Think it'll fit both me and the dress? I'll give it a shot." She hid behind the doors as she changed, hearing Lilith run out of the room, and the accompanying swoosh of air that told Cassie that she'd adjusted the heater. She wondered if Lilith was relieved that Cassie had chosen to change in the closet, or whether she thought she was being too modest or something. There were still so many things about the roommate dynamic that she didn't know about, and she figured this would be the safest bet. When the dress was on and she'd zipped it up the back, she stuck her head around the door, smiling to see Lilith sitting on the bed wearing one of the cute hats she'd noticed earlier. "Ta-da?" Cassie said, twirling around once and feeling like a little girl playing dress-up again. I'd missed this. "How does it look?"
“Resplendent,” Lilith replied, crossing over to Cassie and making a few minor adjustments. “It fits you like a glove, Cassie-andra! You look so pretty!”
Cassie gave another shy smile, looking down at herself. "Thanks. It's a gorgeous dress. I still can't believe you made it.
Cassie watched as her roommate raced over to the closet like a child on a sugar high, pulling out a lavender dress and jacket, the skirt adorned with lacing up the sides that reminded Cassie of a corset. She gave it an appraising look as Lilith said, “Try this next? It'll look better with your red hair than with my black...”
"Okay, but you have to try one on too. Fair's fair." Cassie searched through several options hanging up in the closet, one hand on her chin as she studied each one thoughtfully. "Oooh...this one's beautiful! Try this one!" She handed Lilith a red off-the-shoulder dress with a thick black belt around the middle, its style reminding her of that one Spanish opera Shelby had made her watch the last time she'd come over.
A harsh, squeaky sound filled her ears, and Cassie looked around in confusion before remembering the teakettle on the stove. "Oh, my hot chocolate!" she cried, grabbing the lavender dress and tossing it gently onto her own bed to change into later before running out to the kitchen to save the poor kettle. As carefully as she could, she poured the boiling water into a mug, grabbing a nearby pair of scissors to cut open a pack of the hot chocolate mix that Lilith had bought so she wouldn't spill it all over the dress. She stirred it a few times before leaving it out to sit for a while, the excitement of trying on more beautiful clothes once again taking priority over warmth and comfort. Back in her own room with the door again partway open, Cassie changed into the purple dress, admiring the way the color worked with her pale Irish skin. When she got back to Lilith's room, she struck an exaggerated model pose, one hand on her hip and her best attempt at a sultry expression on her face. "Am I ready for the runway, or what?" Her eyes fell to Lilith's outfit then and lit up. "Oh my God, that looks so beyond gorgeous on you!"

Lilith Eytinge
Cassie came out of Lilith's closet and did a little twirl. Lilith cooed about how she looked in it, adjusting the strap so it slipped easily onto her shoulder, checking the skirts and grinning. “It fits you like a glove, Cassie-andra! You look so pretty!”
Cassie gave another shy smile, looking down at herself. "Thanks. It's a gorgeous dress. I still can't believe you made it.”
“Pfft..” Lilith blew off the compliment with a little wave of her hand, but she couldn't deny the demure smile on her lips. After another moment of consideration, Lilith bounced up off the bed and practically skipped over to the closet to pull out a lavender number for her roommate. “Try this next? It'll look better with your red hair than with my black...”
"Okay, but you have to try one on too. Fair's fair." Lilith smiled, while Cassie browsed a few of the hangers, perusing the diverse selection. "Oooh...this one's beautiful! Try this one!" She held out one of Lilith's crimson dresses, one she hadn't worn in years.
“Okay, it's a deal!” She took the dress and started removing it from its hanger carefully, at the same time kicking her shoes off and pushing them under the bed with her foot. They were interrupted by a squealing noise from the kitchen, making Lilith look up, perplexed.
"Oh, my hot chocolate!" she cried, racing out of the room, taking the lavender dress with her. While she was gone, Lilith closed the door and changed into the red one Cassie had left. It draped off her shoulders in a light, silken ruffle. Lilith rearranged the bow around the waist, not sure if she still liked it there. She looked up slowly, catching her reflection on the vanity mirror. Lilith had bought it because it reminded her of her grandmother. Lilith's hand played with the edge of the black bow around her waist, swaying a little to the side coyly. Her grandmother's vanity had always sat in her mother's room, inherited a few years before Lilith was born. Both the original vanity and its lookalike had been beaten with age, its silver marring its surface as the years went by and creating dark streaks in its corners, a plethora of browns and golds covering its wooden frame. Lilith paused, then, seeing herself in its reflection and remembering the old dress-up games in her mother's room, feeling her eyes begin to sting with the memory. Tears tried to find their way out of her eyes, making her image blur, when suddenly Cassie flew back into the room and Lilith rushed to collect herself. She brushed her hand across her eyes, banishing the tears but unsure if her momentary break showed on her expression.
"Am I ready for the runway, or what?" Cassie practically crowed, posing with one hand on her hips and sending Lilith a dramatic look. Lilith gave a half-forced laugh, giving a nod.
“You're made for it,” she declared, admiring the way the colors contrasted, and the way Cassie looked so beautiful in it. She just seemed to fit everything so well.. Then Cassie's eyes fell on Lilith's own outfit, and her eyes lit up with a new exuberance.
"Oh my God, that looks so beyond gorgeous on you!" she exclaimed, and Lilith flushed, her hands falling to the skirt of the dress and holding it out a little, looking down at herself.
“Thank you! Hey, we should take a picture, Cass! It'll last longer, you know,” she giggled, one hand on her mouth. “I can use my camera! Come on, strike a pose for me.” She raced over to the hook on the wall that held her camera bag, digging her camera out and switching it on before holding it up sideways so she could capture Cassie head to toe, a huge grin on her face. “Aw, come on,” she waved one arm dramatically, mocking in a posh accent as she declared, “Give me attitude, I want to see you pout those luscious lips of yours, dahling!”
Click. Click. The camera whirred, the flash blindingly bright. When she pulled her head back to view the snapshots, she made a pout of her own. “Hmm...What about some better lighting? You can't see how cool your coloring is in this photo...” Without a moment's hesitation, she dropped her camera on the bed and crawled into the massive puzzle of her closet and dug out her reflectors, which looked like three disk-shaped, frisbee-sized pieces of silver fabric, all wound up around itself. When she came out, she snapped open the Velcro strap and whoosh, the reflectors popped open with a loud snap, revealing them to be large shining squares, bendable and slightly curved in the middle. She began setting them up in one corner of the room, then raced to the living room to unplug an extra floor lamp, its bulb hung high over her head. When she brought it back into her bedroom, she reached up and unscrewed the shade, then plugged it in, a blinding light now overwhelming that corner of the room. Lilith tilted her head, inspecting the corner she'd chosen, then nodded in approval. “Much better, now we'll try it.” She adjusted the reflectors a few times, then lifted her camera again. Click. Click. Click.
“Ooooh..that looks lovely..” she cooed, holding out the camera's screen so Cassie could look. “You look so beautiful, Cassie..”

"Okay, but you have to try one on too. Fair's fair. Oooh...this one's beautiful! Try this one!" Cassie cried as her eyes fell on the perfect choice--a deep crimson off-the-shoulder number that would contrast with Lilith's dark hair and huge blue eyes perfectly. She was about to retreat into her room to try on Lilith's selection for her when the teakettle started whistling in the next room, reminding Cassie of the hot chocolate she had promised herself after her run through the frozen tundra outside. Instead, she flew to the kitchen, taking the kettle off the stove and turning it off before pouring the boiling water into a mug with the hot chocolate mix and mixing it up. She set it out on the counter so it could cool down and made her way to her room to put on the dress, which, as Lilith had predicted, looked amazing on her. The shade of purple complemented her skin tone and the skirt was short without being over-the-top, with the jacket providing some protection against the chill that remained even though Cassie could tell that Lilith had fulfilled her promise to turn up the heat. Cassie lingered for just a second in the doorway of her room, her head tilted to one side as she looked at herself in the full-length mirror that hung on the back of the door.
She did a few quick experimental poses, surprising herself by the fact that she actually felt like someone who was meant to wear these clothes instead of just a little kid playing dress-up. It was a different feeling than what she expected, and she wasn't exactly sure she liked it. It was just another sign that she was growing up, and that wasn't the effect that Cassie had been going for at all. She didn't want to feel grown-up, not today. Today was a day for silliness, to be a child again, and she made a face at herself in the mirror to prove her point. Maturity is overrated today. After this Lilith and I should bake cookies and stuff our faces with cookie dough while fingerpainting and watching Disney movies.
"Am I ready for the runway, or what?" she cried upon entering the room, one hand on her hip in a pose straight out of an episode of Project Runway. The laugh that escaped Lilith didn't sound entirely sincere, and Cassie couldn't be sure if it was the lighting in the room or something else that made her roommate's eyes sparkle in a way that couldn't be simply brought about by the fun of trying costumes. “You're made for it,” came Lilith's response, still sounding a bit distracted.
Cassie frowned for just a second, looking over at her. "You okay?" Then her eyes landed on the dress, and all worries left her thoughts immediately as she could only focus on how beautiful it looked, how Lilith was obviously the type of person who could dress up in a burlap sack and still look amazing. "Oh my God, that looks so beyond gorgeous on you!"
“Thank you!" came the slightly more bubbly response, Lilith having apparently shaken off whatever had been bothering her as well. "Hey, we should take a picture, Cass! It'll last longer, you know! I can use my camera! Come on, strike a pose for me.” Cassie watched with a smile as Lilith went to fetch the camera, keeping her hand in its position on her hip but shooting the camera a sweet smile instead of her 'fierce runway model look' of before. Lilith, though, protested this good-naturedly. “Aw, come on,” she cried out, morphing her voice until it sounded like a combination of a British accent and Meryl Streep's character in The Devil Wears Prada. “Give me attitude, I want to see you pout those luscious lips of yours, dahling!”[/b] Cassie rolled her eyes once and stuck out her tongue before following Lilith's orders, finding herself unable to maintain the pout for more than a few shots before bursting into a fit of giggles.
The picture-taking session seemed to go on forever, and Cassie blinked fiercely at the multi-colored bubbles that had begun to cloud her vision when Lilith finally paused for a bit. “Hmm...What about some better lighting?" Lilith mused. "You can't see how cool your coloring is in this photo...” She abandoned her camera on the bed and headed back to the closet again, digging out several objects that, to Cassie, looked more like accessories for space travel than photography. When emerged once again, she snapped them open and reflectors appeared, Cassie having recognized them from some of the professional photography sessions her mother had had done for the family over the years. The last time she'd seen anyone using them had probably been for her senior pictures during the beginning of her last year of high school, and Cassie smiled softly as she reminisced at the all-day photo session that seemed so far away now. She began setting them up in one corner of the room, then ran out of the room only to return a minute later lugging the floor lamp from the living room behind her. Cassie couldn't help laughing as she watched her roommate set up the makeshift photography studio, depositing her equipment into one corner of the room and discarding the useless lampshade onto the floor. "I remember when I first came here, you told me you were into photography," she commented, "but I didn't know you were this intense about it. This is awesome."
“Much better, now we'll try it." Cassie immediately obeyed, trying to change poses quickly enough to keep up with the rapid-fire flashes from Lilith's camera. “Ooooh..that looks lovely..” Lilith said after a few more minutes, gushing as she held out the camera's screen so Cassie could look. Cassie's face lit up as they clicked through the pictures, noting how much of a difference the change of light and the reflectors made. “You look so beautiful, Cassie..”
"Look who's talking," Cassie said with a laugh. "You'd look good in anything, I swear. But thanks. Now will you let me take some pictures of you? Pleeeeeeeeeease? If you don't, I'll just go get my own camera and do it anyway, and it'll look really stupid because it'll all be candid pics of you taking pictures of me. And then I'll put them all on facebook and I'll tag you in each and every one of them." She grinned mischievously, holding out her hands for the camera. "So if you want to save yourself from such humiliation, you'll take a turn playing model. You know you want to!"

Lilith Eytinge
She raced about, setting up a makeshift photoshoot for her roommate, all the while feeling Cassie's amused eyes on her. When Lilith dragged the floor lamp in from the living room she laughed. "I remember when I first came here, you told me you were into photography," she commented, "but I didn't know you were this intense about it. This is awesome."
She let out a little grunt as she was able to pull the heavily weighted floorlamp to a good spot on the floor, and flashed Cassie a grin. Then she stood back to check the lighting, removing the lampshade and quickly discarding it. “Much better, now we'll try it.” Cassie fell quickly into place, with none of the hesitance or shyness of a few minutes ago. There was something so carefree about ending a difficult day this way. No matter what had happened, no matter how stressful or whatever was left over to do, there was something poignant about the informal photoshoot. Just two girls, trying on some pretty clothes and making playful, confident faces to make themselves feel beautiful.
“Ooooh..that looks lovely..” cooed, holding out the camera and flipping through the last dozen or so shots. There was a visible difference in it, a warmth and simplistic elegance in the combination somewhere. Lilith tried to pick out where it was, but she could only attribute it to Cassie herself. “You look so beautiful, Cassie..”
"Look who's talking," Cassie said with a laugh. "You'd look good in anything, I swear. But thanks. Now will you let me take some pictures of you? Pleeeeeeeeeease?” Lilith's expression became quite dubious, and she let out a doubtful, “Well...I dunno...”
”If you don't, I'll just go get my own camera and do it anyway, and it'll look really stupid because it'll all be candid pics of you taking pictures of me. And then I'll put them all on facebook and I'll tag you in each and every one of them." She grinned mischievously, holding out her hands for the camera. Lilith rolled her eyes. "So if you want to save yourself from such humiliation, you'll take a turn playing model. You know you want to!"
“I suppose. Mostly because that would be a stupid array of pictures.” She held out the camera, pointing to the most basic of gadgest on it, “Twist this to zoom, this little thing to focus, and push this button for a clicky-click-flash.” She quickly flew over to center-stage of the lights, adding, “And be careful with it. I chose that camera over a car.”
She stopped, once she was blinking in the bright spotlights that she had set up, wondering just what to do and suddenly feeling quite foolish. But Cassie had been able to feel – or at least seem to be – so at ease with the photos. So she could do it too, right? Lilith decided not to overthink things. She placed one hand on her hips, tilting that shoulder towards the camera and sending a sultry, daring look at Cassie. “How about that?” She pouted her lips a little, then laughed, mostly from nervousness. She wasn't used to being in front of the camera. She was used to being behind it. Thinking back to several poses she'd caught other people doing for photos, she ran her fingers through her hair, pulling the majority of the intentionally mussed up tresses over one shoulder. She allowed some of it to fall over into her face, blowing a kiss toward the camera. “This dress' character is simple but elegant. I imagine she likes operas and Wuthering Heights.” She let out a giggle, “That sounds so odd to say. Yours has a sassy feel to it. She's confident and strong and kicks some serious booty. Like a Wonder Woman or something." Her eyes widened for emphasis as she added, "And she loves shoes."

Cassandra "Cassie" Wright
"Look who's talking," Cassie teased her roommate. "You'd look good in anything, I swear." It was true, of course. With her thin frame and long legs, Lilith was one of those select group of people that could wear a burlap sack and still look absolutely gorgeous. Next to her, Cassie couldn't help but feel a little plain and childish and wonder if people would notice her looks at all if it weren't for the bright red hair, the blinking sign screaming 'LOOK AT ME' wherever she went. Still, she knew when to accept a compliment, which she now did, certain that even if she was the plainer roommate, Lilith would make the pictures she took of Cassie look simply stunning. Still, it didn't seem fair to just let herself have all the fun... "Now will you let me take some pictures of you? Pleeeeeeeeeease?”
Lilith looked unsure, but Cassie brushed aside her roommate's gentle words of protest. ”If you don't, I'll just go get my own camera and do it anyway," she warned playfully, "and it'll look really stupid because it'll all be candid pics of you taking pictures of me. And then I'll put them all on facebook and I'll tag you in each and every one of them. So if you want to save yourself from such humiliation, you'll take a turn playing model. You know you want to!"

And then I'll put them all on facebook and I'll tag you in each and every one of them." She grinned mischievously, holding out her hands for the camera. Lilith rolled her eyes. "So if you want to save yourself from such humiliation, you'll take a turn playing model. You know you want to!"
“I suppose. Mostly because that would be a stupid array of pictures,” Lilith said flippantly, causing Cassie to scoff. She held out the camera, which Cassie took and listened while Lilith gave her a quick run-down on how to use it. “Twist this to zoom, this little thing to focus, and push this button for a clicky-click-flash.”
Cassie grinned. "Clicky-click flash," she repeated. "I like it."
“And be careful with it. I chose that camera over a car.”
Cassie snapped her fingers, her face a mask of sarcastic disappointment. "D***. There goes all my plans. I was gonna throw it out of a window, then run over it with my car a couple times before tossing it's mangled remains to some ravenous wolves who feed on the souls of dearly departed cameras! Way to ruin my night, Lilith. Way to ruin my night." She laughed again before bringing the camera up to her face. "Okay! Smile! Say cheese! Be fabulous! Or whatever it is you photographers say these days!"
Lilith took a while to get used to being photographed, and Cassie was about to offer to stop when she saw Lilith finally seem to get into it. The nervousness went away as she became more comfortable, trying out different poses while Cassie clickety-click-flashed away."You're doing great...that's enough sweet ones now, let's try some more fabulous ones! Come on, bring out that inner diva!"
“How about that?” Lilith asked, her pouted lips parting in a burst of nervous laughter. Cassie nodded as she continued to snap pictures, watching as Lilith switched poses to one Cassie recognized as having seem before in numerous magazines. She blew the camera a kiss and Cassie took the shot before doing an exaggerated swoon, one hand on her heart. "This dress' character is simple but elegant. I imagine she likes operas and Wuthering Heights. That sounds so odd to say.
"Sounds like my sister," Cassie commented, setting down the camera for a second.
"Yours has a sassy feel to it." Cassie struck a pose of her own at these words, her laughter ringing throughout the room as she tried to embody the meaning of "sassy." "She's confident and strong and kicks some serious booty. Like a Wonder Woman or something. And she loves shoes."
"Who doesn't? Shoes are serious business," Cassie said, snapping a few more pictures of Lilith while she could still capture the serious look on her face from the shoes comment. "And I don't think it's weird that you pick out personalities for the outfits you make...I mean, I used to name my drawings. Like the ones I did of just random people, not people I knew in real life. But if I sketched someone on the street and they didn't know it, or if I just drew what I saw in my head, I would make up names for them and stuff. It just came naturally to me. And now I think it's time to pick another outfit for you to take pics in, and if you do, then I'll go get some old drawings and show you what I mean." She winked, gesturing towards the closet again.
