Country Club Gardens This is one of the more select areas of New Orleans, so much so that homeowners in the neighborhood may belong to the Country Club Gardens Association, which collects annual dues @ $250 to provide increased security in the area and social gatherings to conduct neighborhood business. Because of the physical location and the street network, the neighborhood enjoys one of the lowest crime rates in the city of New Orleans. |

Lower Garden District Lower Garden District is a neighborhood of the city of New Orleans. The houses here actually predate those of the Garden District proper, since they were built in the early years of the 19th century as the city expanded upriver from the French Quarter. Since the area is still in the process of being revitalized, many magnificent homes can be purchased here at reasonable prices, especially for those willing to invest a little "sweat equity." The Lower Garden District is often confused with its more famous neighbor, the Upper Garden District, but it has a unique, eclectic flavor all its own. Centered around Coliseum Square, the area is one of graceful vistas and curving streets, replete with classical names like Dryades, Melpomene, and Terpsichore. |
