Silhouette St. James
When she looked up in thought, a familiar face greeted her-- well, not greeted her per se, but she did recognize her. Silhouette smiled in silent greeting. Liv. She'd seen her at school, said hi to her a few times. She seemed really shy, and Silhouette didn't want to encroach unwanted. But this time, Liv spoke first.
"Hi," she said softly, smiling shyly.
"Hi." Silhouette smiled wider.
"I'm Liv... from school." Silhouette felt sure it would embarrass such a shy girl for her to point out she knew her name already. "I'm Silhouette," she responded, unconsciously matching the girl's quiet tone. "Do you want to help me decide between these two videos?" She gestured with a little nod to her options.
The noise of clinking jewelry drew her attention briefly from the DVDs in her hand. A much more familiar face greeted her this time, and Silhouette waved with her free hand. "Heeeeey!" When Chance returned her wave, overdramatic as per his usual, Silhouette spotted all the noise-makers, her smile broadening. "I spy with my little eye two gorgeous gals!"
"That's why I keep him around," Silhouette said to Liv with a playful air. It didn't take long for Chance to cross over to greet them both in his usual over-the-top Euro-esque style, then catching Liv's sleeve as if afraid she'd wander off.
"How're you both doing, huh? I'm feeling kind of lucky to find you both here. Saves me time from checking up on you two. You find anything good yet, Livvy? I forgot to ask if you had anything in mind earlier."
"Oh, you have a movie day, too?" Silhouette smiled again. "No one told me what movies they wanted to watch tonight..." She glanced with indecisiveness at the options once more. "Maybe we can decide through paper-rock-scissors...."

Liv Aldis
"I'm Silhouette," the familiar girl responded after Liv had introduced herself. "Do you want to help me decide between these two videos?" She gestured with a little nod to her options and she looked down at them, not recognizing either one of them. Her head tilted to the side slightly as she read them. They didn't look like they would be any movie Liv would normally watch, because she was completely into horror movies. Silently, she gave a shrug and was about to tell her that she didn't know until she noticed Silhouette waving her free hand in the air.
Turning to see who she was waving at, a big smile crossed her face as she saw that it was none other than Chance. "Heeeeey!" She exclaimed in greeting. She saw him return the girl's wave, as enthusiastically as usual. "I spy with my little eye two gorgeous gals!" Silently, Liv wondered what the word 'spy' meant.
"That's why I keep him around," Silhouette said to Liv playfully. And in what seemed like seconds, Chance had come up to them, planting a kiss on both of their cheeks, Liv laughing softly as he captured her sleeve in his fingers, like a child when their parents were afraid that they would wander off in a crowded place.
"How're you both doing, huh? I'm feeling kind of lucky to find you both here. Saves me time from checking up on you two. You find anything good yet, Livvy? I forgot to ask if you had anything in mind earlier." He asked and she shook her head slightly from left to right, smile still bright on her features.
"Oh, you have a movie day, too?" Silhouette asked, smiling again. "No one told me what movies they wanted to watch tonight..." She glanced back at the choices of movies that she had with indecisiveness. "Maybe we can decide through paper-rock-scissors...."
Tilting her head to the side ever so slightly, Liv wondered what she was talking about when she said 'paper-rock-scissors.' She never remembered ever hearing that term before. Briefly touching her throbbing shoulder with her hand before returning it to her side, she thought about a way that she could try and be helpful. "Do.. you have a phone? You could call them and ...um... ask." She said, struggling with her English momentarily and trying her best to suppress her heavy accent so she could understand.

Chance Savege
After Chance's friendly greeting, he started over toward them. Silhouette said something to Liv, with a perfectly impish look, so Chance hurried his step. His ears could have been burning. Once he was there, though, he had to suffice himself with just kissing them both on the cheek, anchoring Liv to him in case she tried to bow out before the conversation was over. She could be so skittish sometimes. And he didn't want her to go yet.
Chance nodded fervently. "No one told me what movies they wanted to watch tonight..." She glanced back at the choices of movies that she had with indecisiveness, as though she hoped one would hop off the shelf screaming 'pick me!'.
"Maybe we can decide through paper-rock-scissors...." Chance giggled.
"Or you could just close your eyes, spin around, and touch a random one... If Liv wasn't watching with me, I'd probably just do that..." he smirked. It had worked before, hadn't it?
"Do.. you have a phone? You could call them and ...um... ask." Liv suggested with uncertainty.
"Yeah, you could do that.." Chance had turned away from them both a little already and was gazing up and down the shelves. Then, with a gasp, he leapt forward and grabbed a shimmering cover. "Oooooh! Lookie! It's one of those dubbed martial arts films! I wanna see it!" He cooed over the cover with a shirtless man trying to look like a baddie, the text very old-fashioned and practically neon. "Liv, can we see this?!" he asked, like a child asking his mother for gum at the check out counter. He tugged a little on the sleeve end he held pinched between two fingers, "Pleeeease?"

Liv Aldis
"Oh, you have a movie day, too?" Silhouette had asked with another smile. Silently, Liv almost admired her smile and thought about if she would chance asking her to be a model for a while so that she could draw her later. But she knew that it would be awkward asking, because not everyone liked to see themselves drawn in one of her sketchbooks. She had learned this the hard way. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Chance nodded so excitedly, it almost reminded her of one of those small bobble-head toys. "No one told me what movies they wanted to watch tonight..." She glanced back at the shelves of movies again, probably still debating on which movie her friends would want. Liv never had to worry about those kinds of decisions, because no one was ever allowed to go to her house to watch movies, for obvious reasons.
"Maybe we can decide through paper-rock-scissors...." the girl said and Chance giggled in reply.
"Or you could just close your eyes, spin around, and touch a random one... If Liv wasn't watching with me, I'd probably just do that..." he smirked but Liv arched an eyebrow curiously. It didn't matter to her what movie they watched, plus she would have gotten a kick out of seeing him do all that just to choose which movie they were going to watch. He was definitely the most eccentric friend that she had ever had. It was fun sometimes just watching his reactions to everything around him.
"Do.. you have a phone? You could call them and ...um... ask." Liv suggested, feeling proud of herself for remembering what the word 'ask' was. It seemed like she was always forgetting the simple words that almost all of them used each day.
"Yeah, you could do that.." Liv turned her head slightly to see that Chance had turned away from them both a little already and was gazing up and down the shelves. She studied him silently for a moment, curious as to what kind of movie he was looking for. When he gasped, she jumped a little in surprise, not expecting the sudden leap toward one of the shelves. His hand seized a movie with a shimmering cover. He almost reminded Liv of a child, being attracted to something shiny on display. "Oooooh! Lookie! It's one of those dubbed martial arts films! I wanna see it!" He cooed over as she tilted her head to the side, wondering why the cover had a shirtless man trying to look cool on it. "Liv, can we see this?!" he asked excitedly. After a moment, Chance tugged a little on the sleeve end he held pinched between two fingers, "Pleeeease?"
She couldn't help but to laugh at this, he was getting so worked up over a movie, she couldn't possibly have said no. So she nodded and said, "It looks cool." she said slowly, trying to get the words right. Looking over to Silhouette, because she didn't want to leave her out of the conversation, she said, "Don't you think...?"

Silhouette St. James
"No one told me what movies they wanted to watch tonight..." Silhouette mused aloud. "Maybe we can decide through paper-rock-scissors...."
"Or you could just close your eyes, spin around, and touch a random one... If Liv wasn't watching with me, I'd probably just do that..." Chance suggested, making Silhouette smile in amusement. "I could... but it would be way more entertaining if you did it instead."
"Do.. you have a phone?" voiced Liv timidly. She was so shy. Silhouette could guess a million things that kept her so quiet; her curiosity was peaked. "You could call them and ...um... ask."
"Yeah, you could do that.." Chance suggested, seemingly less interested by the more average idea.
"My brother has the phone right now," Silhouette said. "Chance, come rock-paper-scissors with me for the movie, and Liv can be our tie-breaker."
But Chance was already distracted by the movies on the shelves. She laughed a little to herself, then caved into decisiveness and chose the video on the left. A glance at Liv, and smiling, she shrugged. Liv was watching Chance, too, as if nothing else in the store could be more interesting than him, which was pretty much true. Suddenly, Chance jumped on a video that made Liv jump. "Oooooh! Lookie!" he chirped excitedly. "It's one of those dubbed martial arts films! I wanna see it!"
Inwardly, Silhouette made a face at the genre, not understanding his excitement, but outwardly, she couldn't help but smile at the dramatic reaction of his.
"Liv, can we see this?!" he asked. After a moment, Chance tugged a little on the sleeve end he held pinched between two fingers. "Pleeeease?"
He made Liv laugh, and Silhouette's smile broaden. "It looks cool," Liv said slowly, her accent marking her words prettily. She looked over at Silhouette and added unsurely, "Don't you think...?"
Silhouette only smiled almost shyly. "Chance seems pretty excited about it, so it can't be all bad," she said with a small laugh. "I admit it, I'm a chick flick person... Or if you wanna make me sound really nerdy, documentaries and travel channel specials... " She held her hands up in a little shrug. "I need a plot, even if it's cheesy and romantic!" she said in playful defense.

Chance Savege
"Maybe we can decide through paper-rock-scissors...." Silhouette wondered aloud, looking around at the shelves indecisively.
Chance giggled at the idea. "Or you could just close your eyes, spin around, and touch a random one... If Liv wasn't watching with me, I'd probably just do that..." he smirked proudly of his more unique solution, his smirk challenging her to top it with a better one.
Silhouette smile in amusement. "I could... but it would be way more entertaining if you did it instead." Chance just winked at her, “What? And take your opportunity for such an invigorating experience? As if.”
"Do.. you have a phone? You could call them and ...um... ask." Liv added quietly, but Chance shrugged off the suggestion with a mumbled, "Yeah, you could do that.."
"My brother has the phone right now," Silhouette explained, always the logical one in the end. "Chance, come rock-paper-scissors with me for the movie, and Liv can be our tie-breaker."
But he had already wandered off, his eyes searching the titles for something to jump out at him. Then...something did. He let out a high-pitched gasp and grabbed the DVD with both hands, "Oooooh! Lookie! It's one of those dubbed martial arts films! I wanna see it!" He cooed over as Liv tilted her head to the side, at least feigning interest. "Liv, can we see this?!" he asked excitedly. After a moment, Chance tugged a little on the sleeve end he held pinched between two coral-colored fingertips, expression begging. "Pleeeease?"
Like he was a child she found abnormally adorable, Liv gave a laugh, nodding. "It looks cool." Chance held up the DVD over his head, victorious, giving a loud, “YES!”
"Don't you think...?"
"Chance seems pretty excited about it, so it can't be all bad," Silhouette replied, laughing a little. Chance had already continued his happy bounce down the aisle, clutching the film to his chest as he searched for something Silhouette and her crowd might enjoy, half-listening to them. ”I admit it, I'm a chick flick person... Or if you wanna make me sound really nerdy, documentaries and travel channel specials... I need a plot, even if it's cheesy and romantic!" she said in playful defense.
“Well, that counts Twilight out...” he chuckled, flicking the DVDs down with a finger to see the ones in the back of a row. After a moment of looking up and down the rack – and making himself chuckle a couple of times – Chance started pulling two or three films off at a time, naming them off as he stacked them precariously next to his Bruce Lee choice. “'While You Were Sleeping'..'You've Got Mail'... 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'...it's where I learned most of my Greek... 'Cinderella Story'...because you know you love the Chad Michael...and..hm...13 Going On 30?” He raised both shoulders and sent a questioning look Silhouette's way, making his stack clatter and attempt to fall away from him. With a quick grab he managed to keep a hold of it all long enough to hold it out to Silhouette. “Narrow it down for me, babe.. I've got a million more of 'em, but I don't know what you're looking for.” His eyes fell back to the shelves and a second later he was bouncing again, "NO! Wait! Screw those! We want this!" He jubilantly held up 'Pretty Woman', let out a squee and did a smooth little 360 on his toes.

Liv Aldis
"Do.. you have a phone? You could call them and ...um... ask." Liv added quietly, wanting to help but worried that she was only making a fool of herself in front of someone she didn't know very well. Chance didn't seem too thrilled with the idea, "Yeah, you could do that.."
"My brother has the phone right now," Silhouette explained, and Liv nodded in understanding. "Chance, come rock-paper-scissors with me for the movie, and Liv can be our tie-breaker." she said and the small Norwegian girl wondered what exactly they were being asked to do. She had never heard of anything called rock-paper-scissors before.
But when she turned around to look at Chance, she could tell that his mind was wandering again. "Oooooh! Lookie! It's one of those dubbed martial arts films! I wanna see it!" he exclaimed excitedly and Liv tilted her head to the side, colored strands of hair falling in her pale face.
"Liv, can we see this?!" he asked and after a moment, he tugged on her sleeve that he held captive between two fingers. "Pleeeease?" He asked, reminding her of children she had seen at stores, asking for a shiny toy or a bag of candy. It was adorable and funny at the same time. She laughed and nodded in reply, adding on a "It looks cool." Immediately after she did so, he held the case up over his head and yelled, "YES!"
"Don't you think...?" Liv asked the girl, not wanting to leave her out of the conversation. "Chance seems pretty excited about it, so it can't be all bad," Silhouette replied with a laugh that made Liv smile. She found that she liked her laugh, it was light and seemed to have a life of it's own. Chance had let go of her sleeve to bounce down the aisle in what Liv supposed was his own sort of victory dance. ”I admit it, I'm a chick flick person... Or if you wanna make me sound really nerdy, documentaries and travel channel specials... I need a plot, even if it's cheesy and romantic!" Silhouette said in playfully and Liv mentally wrinkled her nose. Chick flicks never were her thing, because she knew nothing like that would ever happen in real life.
“Well, that counts Twilight out...” he chuckled, searching through the DVDs in the backs of the rows. Suddenly, Chance started pulling two or three films off at a time, naming them off as he stacked them precariously next to the movie that they were getting. “'While You Were Sleeping'..'You've Got Mail'... 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'...it's where I learned most of my Greek... 'Cinderella Story'...because you know you love the Chad Michael...and..hm...13 Going On 30?” None of the names sounded familiar to Liv, and she wondered if that was a bad thing. That maybe she didn't know something that she should have. Raising both shoulders, he sent Silhouette's a questioning look, almost asking her with his eyes if she had heard anything he named off that sounded appealing to her.
Liv's eyes widened slightly as the stack started to fall down. She stepped quickly toward him, ready to catch any cases that would possibly fall, but none did. “Narrow it down for me, babe.. I've got a million more of 'em, but I don't know what you're looking for.” Liv's eyes followed his as they fell back to the shelves to look again. Suddenly, the bouncing started again and she could see excitement on his face. "NO! Wait! Screw those! We want this!" He jubilantly held up a movie that Liv had never seen or heard of before. 'Pretty Woman', it said and she tilted her head to the side slightly once more, trying to piece together what it could be about from the cover. Cut she laughed as Chance let out a squee and did a complete turn on his toes, causing her to laugh.
"It's good?" she asked curiously, wondering if he had ever seen it before. Silently, Liv stood by, leaving the decision making up to the two of them. She had never heard of them before, so she didn't want to give her opinion and have it be wrong. She would feel much too guilty for that.

Silhouette St. James
”I admit it, I'm a chick flick person..." Silhouette started to tell Liv. "Or if you wanna make me sound really nerdy, documentaries and travel channel specials... I need a plot, even if it's cheesy and romantic!" Liv seemed to disagree, but then, so did a lot of the people Silhouette tended to hang out with.
“Well, that counts Twilight out...” Chance commented with a little laugh, making a sheepish smile grow on Silhouette's face. "Well... it has a plot... it just doesn't show until the last twenty minutes of the movie...."
'Cinderella Story'...because you know you love the Chad Michael...and..hm...13 Going On 30?”
"Wait, you speak Greek? Since when?"
“Narrow it down for me, babe.. I've got a million more of 'em, but I don't know what you're looking for.”
"I don't either," she said quietly, with a smile as she and Liv peered at the selections remaining.
Suddenly, the bouncing started again and Silhouette stepped back, giving him room to be genuinely ridiculous. "NO! Wait! Screw those! We want this!" He held out Pretty Woman like a trophy, spinning around gleefully at his find, Silhouette and Liv both laughing.
"It's good?" Liv asked curiously. Silhouette smiled, taking the case from Chance's hand.
"Yeah, it's like a classic... Wait, no, I think technically now it is classic, isn't it?" she asked Chance. "Did the movie come first, or the song? By the way," she added, "Excellent movie-choosing skills."
A glance between Liv and Chance and Silhouette gave a little apologetic shrug. "All right, well it looks like my job here is done... I'm gonna check out and head back home.. but y'all have fun watching your kung-fu movie?" she said, making into a question in her amusement over Chance's exuberant reaction.

Chance Savege
”I admit it, I'm a chick flick person..." Silhouette told Liv as he scoured the shelves. "Or if you wanna make me sound really nerdy, documentaries and travel channel specials... I need a plot, even if it's cheesy and romantic!"
“Well, that counts Twilight out...” Chance commented with a little laugh.
"Well... it has a plot... it just doesn't show until the last twenty minutes of the movie...."
Too distracted to tell her the finer and less points of such a film, Chance instead started yanking off familiar titles off the shelves, detailing little fun facts about them. “'While You Were Sleeping'..'You've Got Mail'... 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'...it's where I learned most of my Greek... 'Cinderella Story'...because you know you love the Chad Michael...and..hm...13 Going On 30?”
"Wait, you speak Greek? Since when?"
Chance giggled, "Watch the film and you'll get it. Now.." he sent her a grin, “Narrow it down for me, babe.. I've got a million more of 'em, but I don't know what you're looking for.”
"I don't either," she said quietly, with a smile as she and Liv peered at the selections remaining. Chance's eyes flickered back to the shelves, and he instantly saw a title that was more familiar than his middle name. He started bouncing again, earning him a little distance from the girls.
"NO! Wait! Screw those! We want this!" He held out Pretty Woman like a trophy, spinning around gleefully at his find, Silhouette and Liv both laughing at him. With him? He wasn't sure. It didn't really matter.
"It's good?" Liv asked curiously, looking at the cover, at quite a loss. Knowing Liv, this movie wouldn't have made it in her neighborhood, much less be a commonly-played feature in her home.
"YES!" he declared jubilantly, "It's about this guy who pays this prostitute to be his date, and they end up falling in love!" He let out a squeal, hugging it to his chest before letting Silhouette take it from him.
"Yeah, it's like a classic... Wait, no, I think technically now it is classic, isn't it?" she asked Chance, who nodded as he set aside the DVDs previously picked and came to wrap one arm around Liv's shoulders, smirking. "Did the movie come first, or the song?"
"I have no idea..."
"By the way," she added, "Excellent movie-choosing skills."
Chance grinned, "What can I say? You came to a Master."
A glance between Liv and Chance and Silhouette gave a little apologetic shrug. "All right, well it looks like my job here is done... I'm gonna check out and head back home.. but y'all have fun watching your kung-fu movie?" she said, clearly ending the conversation. Chance gave her a little salute with one hand, sending her a knowing smirk.
"Same to you, tiger," he concluded, turning to Liv with a grin. "She's cool. Okays...are we ready to head out, or do you want to grab something else, girlie?"

Liv Aldis
"NO! Wait! Screw those! We want this!" Chance exclaimed, holding out the movie like a trophy and spinning.
"It's good?" Liv asked curiously, trying to guess what it might be about by the cover. Usually she could tell but this time she was stumped. "YES!" he declared automatically, "It's about this guy who pays this prostitute to be his date, and they end up falling in love!" Her eyes widened to the extremes for a brief second. She had heard what a prostitute was before and she wasn't sure why he was so excited to see a movie about someone like that. He let out a squeal then, hugging it like it was a long-time friend that he hadn't seen in ages, causing the smile to return to Liv's face.
Silhouette took it from him, saying, "Yeah, it's like a classic... Wait, no, I think technically now it is classic, isn't it?" the question was directed towards Chance, who nodded as he set aside the other DVDs that he had picked up. Liv didn't even flinch when he came to stand by her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Did the movie come first, or the song?" by the way they were talking, Liv thought that they were talking about one song in particular, so she didn't attempt to answer.
"I have no idea..."
"By the way," Silhouette added, "Excellent movie-choosing skills."
Chance grinned in reply, "What can I say? You came to a Master." Liv arched an eyebrow curiously, forgetting what the word 'master' meant. And she wondered why he had to ask her what he could say.
A glance between Liv and Chance and Silhouette gave a little apologetic shrug. "All right, well it looks like my job here is done... I'm gonna check out and head back home.. but y'all have fun watching your kung-fu movie?" she said, ending their conversation. Chance gave her a salute with one hand and Liv laughed because he did the oddest things sometimes. Liv nodded, feeling somewhat lost in her own thoughts about prostitutes and things that that movie was about.
"Same to you, tiger," he stated, turning to Liv with a grin. "She's cool. Okays...are we ready to head out, or do you want to grab something else, girlie?"
"I'm ready when you are," she muttered, not feeling the need to talk very loud because he was standing right next to her. She shrugged slightly and looked to him for the enthusiastic exclamation he seemed to always make before they left a place. It was funny, at first it almost shocked her when he did those kinds of things, but not she expected it. Like her whole world would just fall to pieces if he didn't do anything crazy.

Chance Savege
He squealed, hugging Pretty Woman to himself like it was an old friend...which it kind of was.
Silhouette took it from him, saying, "Yeah, it's like a classic... Wait, no, I think technically now it is classic, isn't it?" Chance nodded fervently, coming to Liv's side. "Did the movie come first, or the song?"
“Ehh.. I have no idea..." He wasn't going to spend valuable time figuring out the dates, either. Maybe a google search in the future, when he was pretty bored.
"By the way," Silhouette added, "Excellent movie-choosing skills."
Chance grinned in reply, "What can I say? You came to a Master." Without replying to that, Silhouette sent a pointed look back and forth between Liv and Chance, as well as the arm he protectively wrapped around her. He supposed she caught the hint that Liv never seemed to, and he smiled a little more at that. "All right, well it looks like my job here is done... I'm gonna check out and head back home.. but y'all have fun watching your kung-fu movie? she said, ending their conversation. Chance gave her a salute with one hand and Liv laughed.
"Same to you, tiger," he stated, turning to Liv with a grin. "She's cool. Okays...are we ready to head out, or do you want to grab something else, girlie?"
"I'm ready when you are," she said quietly, shrugging a little and lifting her eyes to him slowly. He smirked, then leapt away from her to display a dorky ninja move, yelling, “Hiiiii-ya! Wah! Let's go!” Chance skipped his way up to the counter, taking her hand in his and leading the way back outside with a pleased grin at their choices. Even if they were all his.
Chance is done here, I s'pose!

Alex Pierce
Despite the fact that he loved his family with a passion, it was hard for him to get excited about family movie night. It usually meant getting stuck with a movie that didn't interest him-- some action flick, usually-- and a bowl of over-buttered popcorn, which he didn't really like. Alex couldn't get too excited about those things. But he tried, at least. Maybe they made some action-chick flicks. Because, unlike what he would care to admit to the world, he enjoyed a good romantic comedy. Miss Congeniality was still a favorite of his.
Alex stopped in front of the new releases, tapping his foot to the nonexistent rhythm of the trailer on the TV overhead. That movie with the kidnapping and breaking into that important place was out... with what's his name in it, blowing things up again. What did people see in those movies, anyway? They were pretty much all the same, at least in Alex's opinion. Disinterestedly, Alex picked up the case for the Prince of Persia movie. It was like a double-whammy. Action, and "family friendly". Which meant no real meat in the story, in most cases. But it had won the vote somehow... Ehhh.... He grimaced at the back of it. It was a poorly-based movie from a video game. Just as he was about to set it back down and browse a bit more, the shelf suddenly tilted forward dramatically, and a small battery of DVDs and their cases went to shower upon him. The corners bumped him enough to make him bat them away, grunting, as the metal cage that had held them up landed on his back. He was pretty sure there'd be bruises, too.
Nice.

Lilith Eytinge
The movie selection was always the hardest part. She knew that whatever she chose, she would enjoy it. Lilith liked being a bit of a movie buff, but it made narrowing down even the vague decision of watching an old favorite or exploring something new just exasperating, in the only way exasperation could be made fun. Cassie was out tonight visiting with her sister and some other family members that Lilith didn't know well yet, and so she had the apartment to herself for another hour or two. But she hoped to pick something Cassie would like, too, so she could join her when she came back. But what? She didn't know Cassie well enough yet to pick out a movie. Maybe she should go with a couple different choices, then she could offer to change to something her roommate liked...
Within ten minutes she had a dozen or so choices stacked precariously in her arms. The Ghost And Mrs. Muir? Maybe...it was a fun black and white film with Rex Harrison, who she much enjoyed watching. The Unholy Three? Another black and white, with Lon Chaney, which automatically meant she had to pick up his version of The Hunchback Of Notre Dame... but what about something more recent? Maybe a light-hearted family film? Nanny McPhee? Disney's Robin Hood? Or maybe, to humor herself, a classic man-made movie, like The Fifth Element, Die Hard, or Die Another Day. She piled all of the choices into her arms and went to find someplace to lay them down and begrudgingly weed out the unnecessary.
Then, once she had stacked them up on a nearby display shelf, Lilith remembered that there had been an old technicolor version of Robin Hood. Perhaps that would be hilarious enough to mix the older style of films with the newer ones. She headed back to the classics and started searching the titles. While she was looking, she came across another familiar film. The 1968 version of Romeo And Juliet. The cover displayed the two young lovers, the boy clinging to the woman's waist as they both looked over their shoulders, as though seeing danger and destruction lurking in the middle distance. Lilith paused, lifting up the film carefully between her fingers, studying the boy's face as though looking for something in particular she may have missed the last time she had seen it. Cat... She remembered the party in Paris, the way they had dressed up as Romeo and Juliet for it. Her heart constricted just brushing across the memory, but she grabbed the film anyway, deciding that the other films could wait. What better film to bond with Cassie over than Romeo and Juliet? It was perfect...and painful. And just suited the film's atmosphere.
She whirled around and tumbled just as the lights went out, feeling softness a body and the hardness of plastic dvd cases as she hit the ground with a crash
