Yukito's new apartment is smallish and comfortable, and always a little messy. It's almost as if it's done on purpose, with the random articles of clothing - normally belts and jeans - lying across the floor, or teetering stacks of CDs, all combing to create a lax atmosphere if nothing else. Once you enter the apartment, you have to walk down a small hallway into either the main bedroom or into the living room. There you find a lot of emptiness for the lack of furniture. Partially open to the living room, and on the left-hand side, is the kitchen. The main bath is, oddly, off of the main bedroom, and a small pantry is found through a closet door off the kitchen. There is a small patio across from the front door.
The living room is still full of piles of things at this point, and the kitchen is practically empty, with a few sodas and some half-empty pizza boxes shoved into the fridge. Yukito's bedroom has the futon set up, at least, although there is no dresser, only a growing mound of cloth. The amplifier he had previously used as a bedside table is set up in the living room, waiting patiently next to his guitar. The walls are still unbelievably bare, holding that strange apartment-white coloring, and the carpet in the hallway has a few mysterious stains, but it is obviously attempting to be a home.

The Volvo was parked in front of the apartment, and Yukito was seriously still on cloud nine as they got out of the car and started for the apartment. Sure, it was just a crummy old apartment room. But the fact that he'd gone through with asking Erin to move in with him - and that she had agreed - made simply walking up to the apartment a monumental moment for him.
"It's not much, but...it's ours," he said with a smile. Just before they reached the actual door, he looked over at her. He had a sudden inclination to lift her up as he had at the pool that time she'd scraped her legs all up, with his hands behind her neck and beneath her knees, to sweep her over the threshold like newlyweds did. As he waited, his hand on the keys into the lock, he felt his arm itch to try it. But maybe that would just send Erin over the edge right now. He decided to save it for a more important day for the two of them. Right now, this didn't feel real. He was sort of afraid of dropping her in the light-headed feeling that rushed over him.
"Welcome home?" he offered, pushing the door open and gesturing dramatically for her to go in first.

She refused to stay apart from him any longer than she had to when they left his car, Erin automatically linking her arm in his, holding onto it tightly as they walked up to his front door-- their front door, now. She couldn't remember if anything had made her this happy before.
"It's not much, but...it's ours," Yukito told her with a smile.
'Ours'! What a beautiful, incredible, enchanting word! She let out a delighted sound-- not enough to be a squeal, but more of a squeak as she squeezed her arm around his. For once, words were failing her.
Yukito took long enough to unlock the door, the keys jingling impatiently in his hands and Erin bouncing on the balls of her feet beside him. Even if she was drained and dizzy, it wasn't capable of stopping her joy from manifesting itself. Finally, just as Erin was about to cave and insist he hurry it up, Yukito pushed the door open with a dramatic gesture.
"Welcome home?"
Now she squealed again, pulling him inside with her. Erin's first actions were to drop her bag by the door and kick off her shoes. First, she sat on the floor cross-legged, tugging Yukito down to sit beside her. Automatically, she snuggled up against him and made her slightly stolen hat slip off. She sat back. "I wanna go see our kitchen!" she chirped, clambering to her feet again and skidding to a halt in front of the refrigerator.
Poking her head in, Erin's brow furrowed. She looked back out. "Yukito, we need real food, too!" She laughed brightly, pulling out the leftover delivery that looked the freshest and went back to her previous spot on the floor. "I didn't feel like eating at Cassie's," she explained before taking a bite of the cold pizza. "That's why I was dizzy, see? No big." She smiled smugly as she continued the impromptu dinner. "When can we go grocery shopping? I can make you way better pizza than this..." More laughter as she moved back closer to him.

"It's not much, but...it's ours," Yukito told her with a smile. Ours, Erin. Do you know what that means to me? I once thought that having a place of my own was so important, that it would make me free. But everyone leaves you feeling hollow if you can't share it. He looked over as she let out a happy high-pitched sound and squeezed his arm. He chuckled. And you make everything enjoyable. He unlocked the door at last, pushing the door open and gesturing her inside. There's no going back to what we thought before now. "Welcome home?"
Another squealing sound. She tugged him after her with enough energy and force to pull along an iron elephant. Instantly, she dropped her bags in the narrow hallway and kicked off her shoes. He beamed that, kicking his own off with the slow, hesitant movements of someone under water. His excitement wasn't shown in quick, rapid movements and squeals. They were more likely shown in a surprised, dazed look. He still couldn't believe it. She'd agreed to move in with him. Maybe he'd never have to wake up wishing he'd kept her longer again.
Erin tugged him to the living room floor with her, sitting cross-legged. That was a bit of a shock. He'd been sure she would race around every square inch of the apartment before she did anything. She pulled him close, and he leaned over to kiss her as she sat back, her hat falling to the floor. He wanted to say something to her, but all he could manage was a slow smile as his mind tried to numb out the reality here.
"I wanna go see our kitchen!" she chirped, clambering to her feet again and skidding to a halt in front of the refrigerator. He laughed openly.
"That's more of what I was expecting," he muttered to himself. His heart wouldn't skip over the fact that she had called it their kitchen. He wondered if they would be doing that constantly for the next few days or weeks. They would probably drive each other crazy with it. Yukito followed her into the kitchen, standing there in the doorway watching her as she dug through the refrigerator. She came back out with a disappointed expression, her eyebrows knitted endearingly.
"Yukito, we need real food, too!" Then she laughed brightly, pulling out last night's dinner and going back to their spot on the floor. He hovered close behind her as though they were attached by a short bungee cord at the hips. He sat down next to her, still smiling like an idiot. "I didn't feel like eating at Cassie's," she explained before taking a bite of the cold pizza. "That's why I was dizzy, see? No big." She smiled smugly as she continued the impromptu dinner. He leaned over and picked at a piece of cheese stuck to the bottom of the cardboard box. "When can we go grocery shopping? I can make you way better pizza than this..."
"So I'm starting to think I just make you hungry when I'm around..." He smirked at her. Then he leaned over and kissed her forehead. "I figured we could make do tonight with bachelor pizza and start with your way-better foods tomorrow. You don't have other plans do you?" He reached out to anchor her to him at the waist with both his hands, touching his nose to hers, "I love you, you know."

"When can we go grocery shopping? I can make you way better pizza than this..." She was actually pretty excited about the idea of cooking for them both, and on a regular basis, too. Especially because something just seemed neglectful about Yukito attempting to survive on pizza and coke alone. I love you, but no. Despite this, she enjoyed the leftover cold food anyway. As long as it's not ALL the time!
Yukito sat down beside her. "So I'm starting to think I just make you hungry when I'm around..."
"Hey!" she protested through laughter. "Not true! I just didn't eat anything today! Or yesterday... and maybe the day before, I dunno..." It was true, but still she couldn't help but laugh even as she finished her slice. He just smirked at her. Then he leaned over and kissed her forehead. "I figured we could make do tonight with bachelor pizza and start with your way-better foods tomorrow. You don't have other plans do you?"
That earned another round of laughter from Erin, who just shook her head. "Of course not! ....Bachelor pizza!" More laughs at the name. "Does it go with the whole piles-of-cloths -around -the-house thing?" she teased, pretty sure he hadn't bothered washing anything either. Erin didn't want to think any more on that matter-- after all, she'd been cuddling against him with those clothes.
Yukito reached out to anchor her to him at the waist with both his hands, touching his nose to hers. "I love you, you know."
"I know," she echoed blissfully, before succumbing to giggles again and snuggling into a close hug. The without warning, she let go and pulled on another slice of pizza. "So, really... it's kind of like a really long date that doesn't have to end..." The thought perpetuated the smile that refused to leave her for more than a couple of minutes at a time.

Yukito Maki
Yukito sat down beside her. "So I'm starting to think I just make you hungry when I'm around..." He recalled that neither of them had eaten much until the morning after their get-back-together almost a year ago. She'd started inhaling food as quick as she could before they both collapsed in his room again, sobering and strengthening up before facing her parents with an unexplainable night together. He recalled that when she got worried, she stop eating. When he cuddled, she would only push him away if it meant another snack or something she wanted to share with him. It was kind of adorable, really. Except for the fact that something about kissing him must've made her hungry...Which was a little weird.
"Hey!" she protested through laughter. "Not true! I just didn't eat anything today! Or yesterday... and maybe the day before, I dunno..." His theory was proven true with her words, so he just smirked at her, then leaned in to touch his lips to her forehead.
"I figured we could make do tonight with bachelor pizza and start with your way-better foods tomorrow. You don't have other plans do you?"
That earned another round of laughter from Erin, who just shook her head. "Of course not! ....Bachelor pizza!" She giggled at the name he'd randomly given the sad piles of delivery he'd coped out for. "Does it go with the whole piles-of-cloths -around -the-house thing?"
He glanced around the room dubiously, "I'm starting to run out of clean clothes. I was also hoping to get lessons on running a washer and dryer." He sent her a glance, and shifted a tad uncomfortably, "If you'd said no to moving in I would've just tried to figure it out on my own, of course...but that's slightly dangerous." To distract her from his very-stereotypical lack of cleaning and house-tending education, he anchored her to him by her waist. Then he touched his nose to hers, as he had since the beginning, and mentally murmured the phase he was pretty sure he wouldn't say aloud. Just like kittens. Then he told her, "I love you, you know."
"I know," she echoed blissfully, before succumbing to giggles again and snuggling into a close hug. The without warning, she let go and pulled on another slice of pizza. He chuckled. She was hungry again. "So, really... it's kind of like a really long date that doesn't have to end..."
He tilted his head at that one. "I guess it is... though I'm not expecting it to be easy, in all honesty..." His eyes flickered over to the doorway that led to the only bedroom. The only bedroom. That morning he'd woken up to glare at the lock on the door so hard he was sure he could melt it. There was a lot to still figure out with all of this. Would it be better to wait until later, when they had a chance to get off the emotional high they found themselves in, or was it best to deal with everything right now?
Yukito shifted a little closer to her, keeping hold of the hand that wasn't onto her pizza. "I'm gonna really try for you, Erin. I really am. And I want you here with me more than anything. I just want you to know that."

"Does it go with the whole piles-of-cloths -around -the-house thing?"
He glanced around the room before stating, "I'm starting to run out of clean clothes." She was happily relieved to hear that so far, they were clean. "I was also hoping to get lessons on running a washer and dryer."
Erin's eyes widened a little in surprise. "What? You can't work 'em either!? Oh my god, I thought it was just Cassie!" She giggle profusely, leaning against him in her mirth. "What would y'all do without me?"
"If you'd said no to moving in I would've just tried to figure it out on my own, of course...but that's slightly dangerous."
Just as she was about to comment on how ridiculous he was being about that, Yukito pulled her to him, his nose touching the tip of hers., sufficiently silencing her. "I love you, you know."
"I know." For a minute she hugged him close until the pizza caught her attention again. "So, really... it's kind of like a really long date that doesn't have to end..."
Yukito tilted his head thoughtfully. "I guess it is... though I'm not expecting it to be easy, in all honesty..."
Her first response was to ask why he thought that-- but then, she knew what he meant. Or she thought she did. They were living together, and that meant a lot of things. And they were also missing a lot of things. And now Yukito was being way more adult-- he had to work for both of them... It was a lot they were taking on.... But it was worth it. She knew it, sitting next to him now, that it was already worth whatever they'd have to hurdle. It couldn't be too terrible enough to make it not worth it.
Yukito shifted a little closer to her, keeping hold of the hand that wasn't onto her pizza. "I'm gonna really try for you, Erin. I really am. And I want you here with me more than anything. I just want you to know that."
She discarded the pizza crust and pulled both arms around Yukito, her head against his chest. "I know, kareshi. Daisuki!"
"So tomorrow we can go get groceries? Can we get some pots and pans and stuff, too? And some of those, like, paper plates and stuff?" She shifted to her knees, eagerly looking forward to the time they could spend together tomorrow, making it a real home. "What do you think you want tomorrow? No pizza!" she put in with a laugh before he could repeat his last few meals. "And what time is it?" She reached over to make to snag his cell phone.

"I'm starting to run out of clean clothes." He admitted, glancing around at the growing piles of disorganized clothing. His mother's neat-freak voice had started nagging in his mind the other day. "I was also hoping to get lessons on running a washer and dryer."
Erin's eyes widened a little in surprise. "What? You can't work 'em either!? Oh my god, I thought it was just Cassie!" She giggle profusely, leaning against him in her mirth. He swayed back as she bumped into him, grimacing.
"Good to know I could've saved a little face by not commenting." He'd been sure she had noticed how he didn't volunteer to help Cassie with her own dryer troubles. "Did I mention my mom is a clean freak?"
"What would y'all do without me?"
He shrugged, utterly lost on how to answer that one. "If you'd said no to moving in I would've just tried to figure it out on my own, of course...but that's slightly dangerous." Distracting her from his own shortcomings, he leaned in to touch his nose to hers, "I love you, you know."
"I know." She proved his point about him making her hungry as she dove for another piece of pizza. "So, really... it's kind of like a really long date that doesn't have to end..."
Yukito tilted his head thoughtfully. "I guess it is... though I'm not expecting it to be easy, in all honesty..." His eyes flickered over to his bedroom door. Their bedroom door. There were so many things they had to overcome here.
He hoped she understood just how serious he was about that, and how deep those words went. "I know, kareshi. Daisuki!"
"Gambatte, ne? We'll work hard at it," he offered her with a smile.
"So tomorrow we can go get groceries? Can we get some pots and pans and stuff, too? And some of those, like, paper plates and stuff?" She shifted to her knees, and he nodded, still smiling. "What do you think you want tomorrow?"
At the same time they both said, "No pizza!" Yukito smirked as Erin laughed. "Yes, I am getting sick of it already... I'm sure anything you pick will be a welcome change. Seriously."
"And what time is it?" She reached over to snag his cell phone from his pocket, and he involuntarily halted her with a hand, reaching in for it himself. It wasn't so much the touching thing this time, but he wanted to make sure there weren't any new messages. His dad had been calling and texting him, alongwith his mother, a lot more recently. It wasn't that he didn't mean to tell her - but now didn't seem like a very good time to turn it into his personal dramas again. There was one text that he clicked to ignore, lighting up the phone to show the time. "Four o'clock?" He offered, letting the hand with the phone in it drop to the carpet as he turned to her. "Do you want to pick out spots for all your stuff?"

"So tomorrow we can go get groceries? Can we get some pots and pans and stuff, too? And some of those, like, paper plates and stuff?" She shifted to her knees, and he nodded. For some reason the idea of shopping for new, shiny kitchen supplies made Erin almost as excited as if she was being offered a present for no apparent reason. "What do you think you want tomorrow?"
At the same time they both said, "No pizza!", making Erin burst into giddy laughter again. "Yes, I am getting sick of it already... I'm sure anything you pick will be a welcome change. Seriously."
"Awesome!!" she squealed. "And what time is it?" She reached over to snag his cell phone from his pocket, only to be stopped midway by Yukito. Briefly her face registered the disappointment in the spoiled game before she reverted to her previously peppy state. After all, they were together now, so it was okay. T
Yukito turned to the screen of the phone and looked up at her. "Four o'clock?"
"Really? That's it?" A little part of her wanted it to be later. Because, really, she couldn't remember much of falling asleep next to him the first time, and the second time she was totally freaked from her dream. Erin looked forward to a more positive, memorable rest to say the least. She shrugged. "Okay."
"Do you want to pick out spots for all your stuff?"
her face lit up again. "Yeah!" She scrambled to grab her bag, now feeling much better with something in her stomach, and started to dump everything out onto the floor. She snagged her hair brush, tooth brush, and other bathroom-related things and stuffed them quickly back into her bag. Erin ran through the bedroom and into the bathroom, quickly hiding the sack underneath the sink.
Back in the living room, she pulled out her phone and iPod-- no charger for either-- and her couple of sets of clothes, setting the hat on her head again, as she took off for the bedroom again. Our bedroom... wow...
However, she suddenly froze, turning to Yukito, feeling the need to hear an "okay" or "right here" or some other form of approval. Her clothes were in one hand and her phone and music in the other. "Yukito?" But it's ours, she reminded herself then, and her smile came back. In a few swift motions she put her clothes in a corner that had yet to be filled and set her phone and ipod by the futon and turned with satisfaction to Yukito. "Done!"

Yukito turned to the screen of the phone and looked up at her. "Four o'clock?"
"Really? That's it?" He nodded, wondering if time seemed to pass more quickly when you were depressed. Or maybe something about the spike of energy she'd experienced made her thing the afternoon had flown by. She shrugged. "Okay."
"Do you want to pick out spots for all your stuff?" He liked the idea of their belongings sitting side by side, quickly mingling in the daily routine of shifting of things in life. He looked over at her as her face lit up with the idea, too.
"Yeah!" She scrambled to grab her bag, now feeling much better with something in her stomach, and started to dump everything out onto the floor, putting back a few select objects and racing into the bedroom. He followed just in time to see her vanish into the bathroom, hearing the thud of a cupboard being closed as she raced past him to find a few select objects from the tangled mess on the floor. He chuckled as she placed the hat back on her head with an air of finality, and waltzed back into the bedroom past him. Then, she froze, turning to him. He stared back at her, arching one eyebrow curiously. He would have offered to take some of her things, but from watching her he figured she was having too much fun putting things away - in a messy, disheveled sort of way that reminded him of himself but on speed. He didn't want to take that away from her. "Yukito?" What? He looked down at her things, then at the room, and smiled at her, gesturing toward the room.
"Anywhere you like, Erin. Just... anywhere." Her smile returned, and he was glad to see it back. She dumped her clothes without ceremony and set her phone and ipod next to his charger by the futon. Then she turned to him with satisfaction, and he was already right behind her, close enough to reach out and touch her arms. "Done!"
"Looks better already," he said playfully, leaning his face in close to hers with a smirk. Then he chuckled, "Welcome to our first everlasting date, Erin Spenser. I must say I'm glad I already hid your Christmas present."

"Yukito?" She looked at him, kind of hoping he would just tell her what to do.
"Anywhere you like, Erin. Just... anywhere." She smiled again, the words a fresh reminder of just how real this all was. It was theirs. Quickly and sort of haphazardly, she dropped her things down and, satisfied, turned around to see Yukito close behind. "Done!"
"Looks better already," he said playfully, leaning his face in close to hers with a smirk. Naturally, she gave him a kiss, and for some reason it made him laugh. "Welcome to our first everlasting date, Erin Spenser. I must say I'm glad I already hid your Christmas present."
Erin laughed, brightening at the mention of Christmas presents, and at the fact that somehow Yukito managed to hide anything here. "Where in the world could you hide something here? It must be really tiny or something!"
She still hadn't decided what to get or to do for him... Erin shifted away from that thought by turning from Yukito and digging through her clothes until she found the ones she wanted, and disappeared into the bathroom.
After a shower that was longer than necessary, Erin searched for a hair dryer, and finding none, attempted to dry her hair as best as she could. Just because they were living together now didn't mean she wanted him to see her with gross, sopping wet hair. But of course, it decided to stay stubbornly wet without the aid of a hair dryer. She was half-tempted to stay in the bathroom until it quit looking like she'd just dunked her head in a pool. Or a shower. Little droplets of water had fallen onto the formerly discarded Saints jersey she was wearing as a pajama top ( defaulting to her same usual pair of shorts to complete the lovely ensemble).
To occupy herself, Erin started being nosy. She looked under the bathroom sink at what was in there-- not really anything to speak of besides her things-- and was rather bored with the entire expedition until her eyes fell on a box that sparked her curiosity. Oh, hello, random box... what's inside of you? Grinning over the silliness of it all, the idea that she was "spying" sort of, Erin popped the lid open and recognized several different makeup products. "What?" she asked quietly, out loud, giggling meanwhile.
Erin closed the box again, still grinning, and picked it up into her arms. She opened the bathroom door and held it out before she stepped back into the room. After an attempt to keep a straight face failed, Erin allowed a few of the giggles to come as she asked, intensely curious, "What's this?"

"Looks better already," he said playfully, leaning his face in close to hers with a smirk. She kissed him just as he had hoped, and he laughed aloud. "Welcome to our first everlasting date, Erin Spenser. I must say I'm glad I already hid your Christmas present."
Erin seemed amused by the idea of him hiding her present. He half-expected her to start snooping around in search of her gift. Too bad she wouldn't find it. It had been one of the first things he'd done in the new place - find a secure hiding area for presents. "Where in the world could you hide something here? It must be really tiny or something!"
He just smiled at her mischievously. You'll just have to wait and see. She moved away from him and started digging through her clothes. Yukito's gaze wandered away from her onto the futon bed that was the largest piece of furniture in the apartment. He frowned, and turned away from it, starting to pick up his own clothes in a vain attempt to organize. He was sort of filling up his arms with something to do while he waited to see what Erin did next in the new apartment. It didn't take long for him to realize, once she vanished again into the bathroom and the shower started running. At least she's making herself comfortable.
Contrary to his lifetime habit, Yukito started cleaning up the apartment. Mostly to fill the time waiting for Erin. Better get used to waiting on her. He smiled at that, picking up the forgotten pizza box and putting it back in the fridge. It was creepy how empty it was. Yukito wandered slowly from the kitchen into the living room, peering around at the clothes piles. With a sigh he lifted up the pile of dirty and tossed it in a tangle in front of the washing machine, taking the - now much smaller - pile of still-clean clothes and moving them into the bedroom. He searched around for anything to put Erin's clothes in besides laying them on the floor, and managed to find a cardboard box that only had a few CDs in it. Probably only forty or so. He pulled those out and added them to the stacks, pausing as he recognized an old X Japan album. Haha... It's been awhile since I listened to that one. He dumped the rest of the box's contents out, then glanced over at Erin's pile. It kind of felt intrusive to reach out and start 'cleaning up' Erin's personal clothes without talking to her about it. But weren't they supposed to be okay with that? Maybe after we get used to this a little more. But he found his eyes glazing over, trying to imagine the new reality they'd thrown themselves into. They weren't just playing house now. This was real. He shook himself once he realized it looked like he was staring at Erin's clothes. That would be awkward, wouldn't it?
He ended up setting the box next to her clothes. It'd make sense if he said she could use it if she wanted to. Yukito moved to instead start pulling all his clothes to one specific corner. He found random pieces of paper on the floor that he couldn't remember dropping there, and realized with a frown that the carpet needed serious vacuuming.
What do we need done? Yukito dropped to the futon on his stomach, reaching out under the far edge for the notebook that was always there. His hand brushed against the really battered binder he kept underneath the lyric notebook, and he grimaced as he shoved the binder beneath the mattress. He sat up on the bed crossed-legged then, notebook in his lap and pencil in hand. Then he made a list. Laundry. Dresser. Vacuum. He glanced down at the carpet. Well, it could last out a little longer. Groceries. He let out a sigh. Enormous CD rack.
He sat there for probably another twenty minutes, lost on what else they needed. He was sure there was so much more. But his mind was wandering in the silence, with no music and him unable to stop wondering when Erin was gonna come out. Yukito eventually ended up doodling a single, dark circle along the margins of the paper, darkening it with his pencil carefully as he furrowed his brow. Then his pencil shot to the list again, Christmas decorations?!? He didn't know what they were gonna do about Christmas. He swore under his breath. They weren't prepared for Christmas. She should have a tree, with lights and everything. With presents, and...gosh, what were they gonna do about Christmas? Yukito couldn't believe they were going to spend Christmas together. Not just together, but it would be their first Christmas waking up next to each other. It was his first chance to find out what she would expect on the holiday morning. No trial runs, no forgetting the first time. He sighed and ran both hands through his hair with exasperation. He didn't even know if he could afford a tree. Or what. Her present had already been ridiculously more expensive than he should have on one gift. He'd been planning on getting her several smaller things she could enjoy. And he knew he'd cave in and buy her more to add to the one he'd already gotten her.
He was so caught up in the numerous dollar signs that started running through his head that he didn't notice the shower had stopped. Yukito looked up in surprise when the bathroom door opened and a familiar black box came into view, attached to the hands of Erin. It was a rather large box, closer to a shoe box made for men's boots than anything, and taller. Yukito's eyes widened in surprise as Erin entered wearing a jersey and shorts, her hair damp and framing her face more closely than usual, making her smile more dominant on her face. She was positively beaming as she entered. Yukito's eyes just widened more. Crap.
Erin allowed a few of the giggles to come as she asked, intensely curious, "What's this?"
"Um...that?" he muttered uncertainly, offering a strained sort of smile. Yukito jumped off the bed, the notebook falling behind him, forgotten, and went to take the box from her. "Just a box of stuff from the band days, you know?" A beat. He sighed. "They're professional cosmetics. And that always sounds so much worse than it is."

Erin allowed a few of the giggles to come as she asked, intensely curious, "What's this?"
Yukito looked like he'd been caught doing something wrong. It was actually kind of funny, but she kept laughing at everything right now anyway... "Um...that?"
"Yeeeees," Erin responded, smile widening.
He jumped off the bed and took the box from her hands. For a minute she was sure he was going to take it away and leave her curious. "Just a box of stuff from the band days, you know?"
"I think we have different definitions of 'stuff'..." More giggles.
Yukito let out a sigh. "They're professional cosmetics. And that always sounds so much worse than it is."
Now Erin burst into full laughter-- not because of his answer, since she already knew what was in there anyway, but because of the way he said it. She snagged the box back out of his hands and sat in the middle of he bed, legs crossed and the box in her lap. She opened it and took out some of his collection, peering at some pieces very carefully. Sure, she was kind of making a show of it, but Erin considered it a personal achievement when she was able to get Yukito to react. She looked up at him with a teasing smile and held up one of the tools of his old trade. "Come show me."

Yukito Maki
"Um...that?" he muttered stupidly. "Yeeeees," Erin grinned. He jumped off the bed and took the box from her hands. "Just a box of stuff from the band days, you know?"
"I think we have different definitions of 'stuff'..." More giggles. There was no escaping this one.
Yukito let out a sigh. "They're professional cosmetics. And that always sounds so much worse than it is."
She burst out into full-fledged laughter, right in his face. He felt the reddening starting to spread across his cheeks with lightning speed. She snagged the box back out of his hands and sat in the middle of the bed, legs crossed and the box in her lap. She opened it and took out some of his collection, peering at some pieces very carefully. Yukito frowned in embarrassment as his girlfriend rifled through his eye shadow, concealer, multiple lipstick shades, and seemingly unlimited amount of body paint. She looked up at him with a teasing smile and held up a pencil. "Come show me."
Yukito sighed, rolling his eyes as he flopped onto the bed. "Resistance is futile, I guess... right?" He took the box back as he shifted into a cross-legged position beside her, turning the built-in mirror up towards him. Yukito hesitated a second, staring at the box thoughtfully. Then he reached for the liquid white face makeup, spreading it evenly across his face as a base for the following covers. He darkened his eyes with black eye shadow with a gradual fade to a deep blue. Thick black eyeliner applied, as well as the worn-down black lipstick he favored, and he used the body art to write a large, curved spiral trailing down from his temple to his lower right cheek. He looked over at Erin in askance. "It's not the same without the hair, and the costume...and...yeah.." He shrugged.

Erin Spenser
"Come show me," Erin insisted, offering up to him one of his many pieces of "professional cosmetics", as he put it.
Yukito sighed, rolling his eyes as he flopped onto the bed. Was he really blushing? She laughed a little as he muttered dramatically, "Resistance is futile, I guess... right?"
"Sure, and then you can take me to your leader," she joked, not caring that the joke was horribly lame. If he could blush over something so silly, then she could make lame jokes.
Copying her position, Yukito took the box back from her and opened it in front of him, staring at it for a second. Erin watched meanwhile, smiling ceaselessly. She watched as he painted his face with a well-practiced hand. He was definitely way more practiced than she was-- mostly because her idea of stage makeup came from a totally different dictionary than his. By the time he seemed finished, it seemed to Erin that Yukito had utilized pretty much every category of makeup known to man, but he'd done it so well and easily she was a tiny bit jealous of his kill level. Being "beat" by her boyfriend in the realm of makeup was a pretty rare event, she figured. Yukito looked nearly completely different... Woah... you did that for every show? Wow...! There was still a lot about him she didn't know... she would have never guessed he was that proficient, or that it had been a tool for his band.
"It's not the same without the hair, and the costume... and... yeah.." He shrugged.
"Y'all did all that for every show?" Erin asked awe-filled. Even if he had been blushing when he first sat down next to her, he'd impressed her thoroughly. "Man... why don't we do any of that?" She giggled, reaching over to examine more of his supplies, now thoroughly curious. "What else did y'all do?" Erin paused with a sigh, leaned against him, and finally added, "I wish I could've seen y'all play... You should play with us, like, officially."
