Okay, I know we've mentioned a few things we wanted to RP as special threads during carnival season, which has officially started down here (heard the first ball was this weekend or something... yeesh!). So I'm putting up the options, and I kind of want to do all of them, but I know our group interactions go a lot slower, and what with multiple group interactions, it could be a lot... so we're gonna go ahead and vote (I am abstaining unless there's a tie... please don't tiiiie... lol) and I welcome your comments! XD
Please vote ASAP, because I want to get whatever we choose started really soon if we can!! ^_^
This year, Mardi Gras is two days after Valentine's Day... I can totally imagine everyone will be combining the two... purple and gold heart-shaped candies, anyone? XD

All right, kids, the unanimous decision is for the debutante Mardi Gras ball!! Yaaay! I will go ahead and post this thread soon, and will just note that I am not part of a krewe or a charitable organization, both of which usually put on these balls, nor have I been invited to one, so I will be winging it with the rest of you! : D Comments? Questions? Ask Away! : D

Just wondering about the whole 'debutante' concept...I still associate that word with the whole concept of a girl 'coming out into society', like Southern Belles, and to my knowledge balls/parties like that still exist today...but since you said charity people hold these, I'm guessing that's not what the purpose of the ball is? Sorry if I'm completely clueless about all things Mardi Gras...XD Is it a literal debutante ball, or is it one in name only?

I've read that up in your area it is more common that the families sponsor the girls' coming out to society. But down here it's either a krewe or a charitable organization that puts together the debutante ball for a large group of girls coming out to society together. Does that make sense? (: I am assuming Erin (and by consequence, Yukito) will be invited by Cassie? Because she's not part of a krewe or a debutante or anything... xD If it's cool with y'all, I want to start this thread tonight. (: |

Okay, that sounds great! Cassie making her way into society...*chuckles* She would definitely invite them...probably Kagayaki too, but it will depend on where they stand once the ball gets under way...
I'm still dress-shopping for Cassie, but once I pick one out, I guess I should make the first post? Since she's the one inviting the others and all that...
