Character’s name: Golden Sebastian Hunt
Character’s approx. age: 19
Character’s physical appearance: 6'2"; well-muscled (eyecatching but not bulky); golden, wavy-curly hair, often collar- to shoulder-length; crystalline blue eyes the shade of aqua aura crystal( www.celestialights.com/Site_Map/aqua_aura_quartz/Aquagroupclose2.jpg ); skin usually a golden hue that can deepen to bronze, depending on his lazing-in-the-sun time; the sort of looks that have made many turn around for a second look. Golden prefers casual attire but will wear just about anything that catches his attention, whether stylish or not.
Character's personality: Golden is as sunny as his appearance, very extroverted, and too often foolhardy and ready to take risks and bets. He has a tendency to do anything to impress a girl or at least to gain her attention. He has a healthy ego while not being egotistical and managed to escape being spoiled by his sisters, who more often that not were playing pranks on him. He has a well-developed but sometimes warped sense of humor but is never cruel. He can be a tad hyper at times but has excellent manners and knows when to behave himself, whether at a formal event or meeting a girl's parents. Even at his relatively young age, Golden has had experience as a model and a fledgling actor, has worked as a freelance photojournalist/writer, and has an extreme artistic bent (sketching, painting, sculpting). Also, he is a film buff to the extreme, having a tendency to burst into song-and-dance or to recite his favorite passages, with all necessary gestures, when inspired, and he gets inspired a lot! Generally, Golden gets along with everyone and knows when to give up on those not looking for a new acquaintance.
All-American guy Golden is from a shamefully functional family in which they all like each other! The Hunts (paternal) and Sebastians (maternal) have been fortunate in health and wealth, with no great traumas or losses in a family that prides itself in achieving embarrassingly old ages while remaining hale and hardy. Golden is the youngest sibling. He has six older sisters who are equally colorfully named: Amber, Byzantium (which is a shade of purple, as Brown or Blue could not be considered~well, Blue if it was a boy~which she wasn't//She has said that she might not have forgiven them for Beige.), Crimson, Denim, Emerald and Fuchsia. Amazingly, they all still love their parents~and their names. They were home-schooled, as the Hunts have traveled extensively in a number of countries, mainly connected with his parents' research projects.
Golden plays a variety of musical instruments, as does everyone in his family, including violin/fiddle, piano, Irish pennywhistle, a variety of drums, guitar (particularly Spanish), and xylophone. He has an excellent singing voice~not at all operatic but quite pleasant; think musicals. He's a Karaoke addict who does not mind making a fool of himself in front of a crowd. A deep, dark family secret is that Golden studied ballet with his sisters (who all planned to be prima ballerinas) for a number of years (from "I was too young to know any better." to "I'm tall enough that they complain they're getting nosebleeds.") and can manage an occasional move. Get him around a barre, and he'll automatically start limbering up. He loves dancing of all kinds and varies widely in his skills, but he's always ready to learn. While remarkably coordinated and at times graceful, he can be quite a klutz~though he's good-natured about it.
Golden wants to catch some studies at the university, soak in the atmosphere and explore new facets, "finding himself". He also spends time on Habitat for Humanity and other such projects, having developed into a rather good carpenter. Many is the time that the Hunts found it necessary to build their own place to stay in such far-off places as Africa, the Amazon rainforest, and~well... Pick a spot! Any spot!
Sample post (his introduction at TPO):
A picnic lunch in the park had seemed a perfect idea to Golden in spite of the fact that he had no one to share it with. Somewhere in his romantic's heart, he believed that a Leslie Caron or Juliet Prowse would spot the misplaced young American and decide to banish his loneliness by gracing a corner of the blanket he was spreading now. He placed it near a willow tree that offered enough shade without blocking out the sun or his view of the lake upon which swans and other waterfowl glided and couples rowboated their way to either romance or sunburn. Grinning at that decidedly non-romantic notion, he knelt on the blanket, reaching for the basket and placing it in the center.
"All I need now is the girl!" he warbled, mentally noting that the song was from Gypsy before launching into another song that had been lingering in his mind. Naturally, he threw in all of the necessary gestures such a classic demanded of its performer, rising dramatically from the blanket and ending with arms outflung and head thrown back, assailing the sky with a surprisingly powerful but not necessarily crowd-pleasing voice:
"April in Paris
Chestnuts in blossom
Holiday tables under the trees
April in Paris
This is the feeling
No one can ever reprise
I never knew the charm of spring
I never met it face to face
I never new my heart could sing
I never missed a warm embrace
Till April in Paris,
Whom can I run to
What have you done to my heart?"
Unfortunately, his rendition resulted only in looks askance and several shouted reminders to "Check your calendar! It's May!" Arms still open wide, he turned palms up, and shrugged hugely and purposely awkwardly, grinning stupidly as he struck what he called the Goofy Vulture pose, ending in a bow to the imaginary audience which had enjoyed his rendition unlike the rest of the world.
When the phantom applause had ended, he dug into the basket and emerged with his favorite Frisbee, looking around expectantly and, at that point, realizing that Paris might not be the best place to drum up a game of Frisbee toss. "Wouldn't you know it? I forgot to pack my Irish setter," he muttered then smiled as he recalled how, on nearly every college campus his parents had taught or lectured at, there always seemed to be students tossing the ol' Frisbees, accompanied by dogs ranging from coppery-red setters to Golden Retrievers. "I wonder if poodles know how to catch," he mused as he studied the object in his hands, a flamboyant red, white and blue reproduction of the comic book character Captain America's shield. "Nah!" he decided, taking the Frisbee in his right hand and giving it an experimental twisty sendoff, trying to recall the Famous Golden Boomerang Toss, created for those moments when all six sisters refused to play with baby brother.
The first few weren't too bad, and he was getting a workout running after the disk and sometimes taking some practice tumble-and-roll moves on the lush turf. He'd worry about getting grass stains out of his denim shirt and jeans later. After all, he was traveling with a suitcaseful of such outfits, figuring that he would collect T-shirts along the way. Then, overconfident, he went for a really spectacular toss, intended to arc gracefully back if he strategized correctly~though his calculations did not include the blonde woman who seemed to come from nowhere, walking into the path of the flying object.
Cupping hands to his mouth, he had time to bellow, "Look out!" as the plastic disk flew unerringly at her.

NOTE: Although Golden might sound a bit too perfect, he does have his flaws, including being an occasional goof and a klutz. I've been RPing with him at TPO with very good results. Also, I figured that I'd offer a variety of characters. I can juggle a number of them, thanks to my many years of Alter Egoing, a variation of RPing that actually is quite complicated. Easy will always be my main guy of course. I could try Allegra Zahn, too.
