Character’s name: Yukito Maki
Character’s approx. age: 17
Character’s physical appearance: Dark, shaggy hair that is cut haphazardly into various lengths, pale skin, about 169 cm(5'6"?), of Japanese descent.
Character's personality/Extra Info: Despite being bilingual, doesn't like to chatter on, keeps to himself a lot. In severe denial about his own family problems, and since the age of ten has been drowning out arguments with the heavy metal music he tries to recreate. When he was fifteen, his mother and him left Chiba to visit Tokyo for three months, leaving just a few days after his dad came back from touring with his band. Since then, Yukito despises his father, and their relationship is practically nonexistent. Even though he doesn't often show it, Yukito is extremely protective of his mother. When his mother and him packed everything up and moved to America, he wasn't looking for trouble, but it found him, since highschool loves to bring drama. Was recently in a relationship with Erin Spenser, but they ended up separating after an awful blowout on a dance floor, and he's been trying to find a way to remedy their tattered and torn relationship since then, brooding silently.
Two-paragraph sample post:
Yukito Maki
He sat cross-legged on his bedroom floor, staring at the different brochures for colleges. All the places he'd requested information from had promptly send him lots of little colorful folds of paper, with smiling college students on the covers and dull facts about the school inside. Yukito flipped through them, reading them anyway. Even if he already knew what his decision was. Even if it was one of the dumbest things he'd ever decided. I just love to stab myself in the eye after everything has been said and done, don't I? Why is this still going on? Shouldn't we be past this?
His mother poked her head in to ask if anything looked appealing. She didn't dare cross the threshold, casting a disturbed look at the rickety stacks and dark, dusty piles within. He didn't answer her, ignoring her completely until she went away and left him alone.
I could send my SATs off to Yale, and see what they say about that, he thought to himself with a snarl, As if I really care if a school has a popular label or not... He pushed through the papers until he reached the bottom, then slammed his head on the floor with a grunt. Kuso. Why can't I just pick one and be done with it? The truth was, he didn't want to go to any college, even if he had planned on one that was far, far away from everything, from everybody. If someone offered him a college in Alaska, he'd probably take it.
No, he wouldn't.
He just wanted to find out which college Erin would go to. He wanted that school. Unless Erin's smiling college face was on the cover of a brochure, he didn't care about it.
