Character’s name: Silhouette St. James
Character’s approx. age: freshly 15 as of March 10.
Character’s physical appearance: (For those who check my dA, yeah, I've changed Si's appearance a bit. Yay! : D) Silhouette has deep brown eyes and black hair that, when it's down, falls a little past her shoulders. But usually she has it up in some kind of ponytail or something, since she's nearly always doing something active. Her most distinguishing feature is her smile, which, while not often huge, is genuine and becoming of her. She is 5'6 and, thanks to all her activities in sports (fencing, horseback riding, and karate to be specific) is an athletic build.
Character's personality: Silhouette (or Si sometimes, though she'd never call herself that) is an introvert who would prefer sketching a picture of her horse or reading an old book to going out on the weekends. However, she is pretty friendly and once she finds a topic in common with you, she'll open up and is pretty easy to hang around. She's the mother figure among her friends, being a bit more in touch with the head on her shoulders. Silhouette also is an avid choir member in both her church and school choirs and also continues to take piano lessons from Erin Spenser's mother. And so being so fond of music, when she and Erin had first started getting close, Silhouette was the first to show her music that was less than forty years old, introducing her to such artists as Trapt and 12 Stones and Linkin Park. She is strongly empathetic and lets others' problems quickly become her own and tends to push herself very hard. She is a year ahead in school and in gifted at Audubon High School.
Two-paragraph sample post:
The end of the school year had to be the worst time of the year. It sort of made her feel like Hermione Granger, with how much she freaked over final projects and exams and the LEAP or GEE or whatever standardized test they tossed at them every year. Not that she was bad at them-- but that wasn't the point. The point is, she felt as if everything was hovering over her head and might crash the moment she moved too fast or in the wrong direction.
On the plus side, their school choir had gotten superior at the music festival. It did bum her a little, though, that so many of her friends had started dropping out of choir or loosing interest. It was almost like she had no friends left in choir anymore. Everyone was moving around, things still shifting since Katrina, even three years later. She wondered briefly about, if, after finals were over, if anyone would be interested in getting together to have a cooking club or something... or if that would be totally lame. It would be totally lame, she decided, laughing a little to herself as she keyed in an equation into the borrowed graphing calculator. Cosine of negative one, then... its identity would be... I hate you, math...
