"Hmm..." He gently tilted her face, studying and imagining the nose piercing on her pretty face. "I think that would be cool. If you go for a little diamond or something it wouldn't look trashy, it would be an accessory, I think." He shrugged.
"What kind of accessory, though?" she prodded, and he arched an eyebrow.
"Eh...I like the idea of a diamond?" he was uncertain what the question meant, and he didn't really like not knowing if he was giving her the answer she needed. "Oh, that reminds me, I found some of my old earrings, I'm actually wearing one tonight. I was surprised mine didn't grow over." His hand went up almost involuntarily remind himself of the feel of the earring.
"Hmm, you know, I think that might actually be a really good look for you," she was using an accent that kept herself in giggles, even though she had been trying to look serious. His smile broadened until his eyes gleamed.
"I had my mother talked into letting me have a lip ring, too. But in the end I decided against it." He gave her a roguish smile before adding, "Good thing, too. Because I think it would have gotten in the way of my kissing you."
He counted the seconds as she watched him, then at second eight she leapt forward and planted a long kiss on his lips that sent goosebumps up and down everything. She pulled back and sent him a smile as if to tell him she knew what hold she had on him when she kissed him like that, and she commented, "I was imagining what kissing you with a lip ring would be like. I think I definitely like it better this way."
Yukito chuckled, then it grew into a laugh, and he slipped his arm around her waist again. Stay here and don't slip away from me again. Their meal was almost over already, and she looked over at him curiously and simply said, "Fried ice cream?"
"Sure," he said with a shrug, still smiling from earlier. I can be so eloquent, see?

"Hmm... I think that would be cool. If you go for a little diamond or something it wouldn't look trashy, it would be an accessory, I think." He shrugged.
"What kind of accessory, though?" she prodded, expecting him to say something like "a pretty one" or something. Except Yukito didn't seem to catch the hint, since he just kind of raised an eyebrow and started hesitantly, "Eh... I like the idea of a diamond?"
The clueless response sent Erin into automatic laughter that she tried to suppress with another bite of food. After a moment she shook her head at him, despite the lightheaded feeling. "You're funny," she commented to him simply with a bright smile, knowing good and well that he hadn't meant to be humorous at all. And that was what made it so funny.
"Oh, that reminds me, I found some of my old earrings, I'm actually wearing one tonight. I was surprised mine didn't grow over."
"Hmm, you know, I think that might actually be a really good look for you," Erin giggled out, failing at her attempt at a straight face, mostly because he really did look really good, so it made the joking about it a little difficult to do.
"I had my mother talked into letting me have a lip ring, too. But in the end I decided against it. Good thing, too. Because I think it would have gotten in the way of my kissing you."
For a moment Erin looked at him in feigned thoughtfulness before impulsively kissing him long and sweet. Then Erin couldn't help but give an elfin smile to him as she commented, "I was imagining what kissing you with a lip ring would be like. I think I definitely like it better this way."
Yukito laughed a little at that, the sound morphing into a full-fledged laugh, one of Erin's favorite things to hear from him. Actually, probably her most favorite, she thought, as Yukito wrapped his arm around her waist. Maybe that's my favorite... A few more minutes and they'd have finished the dinner, and Erin turned to look at Yukito expectantly. "Fried ice cream?"
"Sure," Yukito responded with a shrug, still smiling at her. Aww, Yukito, I love your smile so much!!
"Oh! You're gonna share it with me, right?" Erin asked, holding out a spoon to Yukito, herself still smiling. She took a spoonfull herself, and finding it to meet her expectations of frozen goodness, Erin raised both fists to shoulder height and pumped the air in a little victory dance. "Yattaaa!" Then she glanced over at Yukito, paused for the shortest second, and then cracked up laughing, leaning onto his shoulder, her hands on his arms as she still found herself in laughter. "Daisukiiiii!"

He was certain he hadn't understood her bizarre question right when she started to laugh openly to his face. He couldn't help making another face, one eyebrow raised and nibbling on the inside of his lips. Well, you weren't exactly clear what you wanted. Goofball. "You're funny," she said with the sort of bluntness he was used to hearing in himself.
The very healthy, very useless conversation turned to different piercings, resulted in 'test' kisses for lip ring possibilites. It made him laugh, and pull her closer at the waist. Erin looked up at him, her eyes sparkling. "Fried ice cream?"
"Sure," he shrugged and smiled.
"Oh! You're gonna share it with me, right?" He arched an eyebrow at the approaching spoon. His eyes shifted over to her expectant smile, and with a little chuckle he leaned forward and took the ice cream, his eyes locked on her. He could think of probably a million cheesy wanna-be-romantic lines he could tell her right now, but none of them seemed right - or even vaguely like himself. Erin took herself a bite, decided she liked it and expressed such with a victory dance in the middle of the restaurant. "Yattaaa!" The silliness of it had him laughing even harder than before, and he couldn't stop it, though he didn't know why. He just kept hearing her say it over and over again in his head, with that large, easy-going smile. Yattaaa! Yattaa! Yattaaaaaa! The mental image made the laughter hard to kill off. He could hear her laughing, too, and their amusement mingled in the air in a way that he liked. "Daisukiiiii!"
"I think you may be getting a little obsessive with this whole Japanese thing." he smirked, leaning forward until his nose almost touched hers, his tone mockingly condescending, "Do you like your boyfriends imported from Japan, too?" I think yours is a little defected. Care for free repairs at your local hospital? Maybe a free lobotomy?
"Finish your ice cream, sunbeam," he said with meaning, "We need to go swimming soon or else."

The ice cream was actually pretty awesome, and already in a really great mood, Erin gave a little joyful dance at her discovery of a new favorite sweet thing. "Yattaaa!" She caught Yukito's eye, the pair of them breaking into strong laughter. Erin immediately leaned toward Yukito, her hands on his arm, as she kept laughing as she added, "Daisukiiiii!" And I love hearing you laugh like this!! Sooo much!
"I think you may be getting a little obsessive with this whole Japanese thing." At first Erin thought he was serious, and for a second she looked back at him in surprise. "Huh?" But he was still smiling at her, their faces so close, and he wouldn't be so close if he wasn't happy with her, and Erin broke into a smile, laughing a little at herself. "It's not my fault, it's your fault for making it so freaking likable!"
"Do you like your boyfriends imported from Japan, too?"
That comment made Erin laugh again and she repeated, "It's not my faaauuult!", leaning against him in giggles.
"Finish your ice cream, sunbeam," responded Yukito, making Erin feel like butterflies were flying about in her chest, making their presence known in the smile on her face. I'm such a dork around you! And it's totally okay. "We need to go swimming soon or else."
"Ah, no, not 'or else'!" Erin squeaked out before she laughed again. Another bite of ice cream and then, "You can't get out of it that easily, I won't let you!" She didn't say anything else after that, hastening to finish her dessert and thankful she was spared the brain freeze. Then she took Yukito by the hand and pulled. "Okay, c'mon, let's go!" she insisted, the words all coming out as one in their speed. "And I can drive your car from here, right?"
Erin slid out the seat and leapt to her feet, suddenly running smack into a solid wall of dizziness that hadn't completely left her alone since she hit her head so hard, but it seemed to be a lot more stubborn lately. The suddenness sent her staggering for balance and she automatically leaned to Yukito, clinging to his arm. Laughing a little at her own clumsiness, Erin joked, "I think there was something in the soup." The feeling ebbed enough to satisfy her, and Erin eased up her hold on his arm, now just linking it in his loosely. "Let's go, Yuyukun!" she prodded, a little impatient to leave already.

"I think you may be getting a little obsessive with this whole Japanese thing."
As he had hoped, he got a hilarious reaction from Erin, "Huh?" He kept smiling, and she mirrored it. "It's not my fault, it's your fault for making it so freaking likable!"
He arched an eyebrow at that, a little skeptical. "Do you like your boyfriends imported from Japan, too?"
That comment made Erin laugh again and she repeated, "It's not my faaauuult!" Sure...sure..
"Finish your ice cream, sunbeam," responded Yukito, "We need to go swimming soon or else."
"Ah, no, not 'or else'!" Erin squeaked out before she laughed again. Another bite of ice cream and then, "You can't get out of it that easily, I won't let you!"
"I hope not, for our sakes..." he said with a shrug, as she almost inhaled the treat. He couldn't have made a movement in the time it took her to abandon her empty dish, leap up, and grab his hand in a pull towards the door, "Okay, c'mon, let's go! And I can drive your car from here, right?"
He smirked quietly to himself, forcing her to let him rise from his seat with - to her - an agonizingly easy and unrushed air. It only took him a split second to feel her imbalance, though, and then he was up in a flash, pulling her against him to steady herself. She clung to his arm, and the way she leaned against him was not unlike how she had when she had been totally drunk. And that made him suspicious. "I think there was something in the soup." she giggled, trying to make light of it.
"Are you alright?" he said quietly, as her hold on him laxed.
"Let's go, Yuyukun!"
His "come on, be serious" look didn't fade at all as he watched her. Reluctantly, he reached into his pocket to draw the attention away to another good reason to make her go a little slower out the door. "I need to pay real quick. Maybe you should sit." The waiter was quick to appear on the scene after his wallet left his pocket, and he exchanged a receipt for the hefty sum. Ah, well. He was paying for memories, too. Too bad they hadn't gotten some pictures, like Erin had said.
Yukito looked over at her and pulled her a little closer, possessively. "What's wrong?"

"I think there was something in the soup," Erin joked, not considering that Yukito would be concerned about a little unsteadiness and telling herself that the feeling would leave her alone soon enough.
"Are you alright?" Yukito asked, the concern surprising Erin a bit. She loosened her hold on him, not really relishing the idea of telling him anything about her stupid head issues. Anyway, they'd go away soon.
She ignored the question, insisting with a stubborn smile, "Ye-es! Let's go, Yuyukun!"
He gave her a look that Erin wasn't keen on receiving as he told her, "I need to pay real quick. Maybe you should sit."
The order made Erin's lips bow in a pout. "I don't need to sit, Yukito, I'm fine. You worry too much." She smiled to reassure him, but still quietly slipped her hands onto the rim of the table just in case Yukito happened to be right. Which he wasn't, but still.
Now finished paying, Yukito pulled Erin close to him, but not in the familiar flirting way, and Erin cursed her clumsiness. "What's wrong?"
Erin gave him a look that reflected her thoughts, It's not a big deal, okay? "I'm just dizzy, that's all, it's probably just leftovers from the stupid concussion thing, it'll go away. Okay?" She kissed his cheek, fingers once more playing along the collar of his shirt. "I wanna go now! I want to go swimminnnng, it's summerrrr, let's go!"

"I need to pay real quick. Maybe you should sit." he looked at her dubiously, and she pouted at him, reluctant to focus on such negativity.
"I don't need to sit, Yukito, I'm fine. You worry too much." He wondered about her as he walked away to pay for the meal, but when he came back she looked just as eager to leave and just as energetic as she was before acting all tipsy. He slipped behind her as she stood with her hands on the side of the table, and he pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her waist as if to support.
"What's wrong?" he asked simply.
He received a look that told him she didn't want to talk about it.
Yukito frowned. I wish that concussion had never happened. It was kind of one of those obvious thoughts - who wished head damage on their girlfriends? - but he couldn't help pressing the idea in his mind that it was completely his fault. All his fault, again.
"Alright..." he muttered uncertainly, wrapping his arm around hers and preparing himself in case she collapsed or something. He tried to smile. "Let's go swimming..." That sounds so weird...
Yukito is done here.

She didn't like the idea of him worrying over her, especially worrying over nothing. And she didn't like how he kept putting off leaving. "I wanna go now! I want to go swimminnnng, it's summerrrr, let's go!"
"Alright..." Yukito responded, and Erin smiled at him happily, once more snaking her arm in his. "Let's go swimming..."
"Yay, finally!" she announced, linked with him as they left.

Chance Savege
His eyes scanned the room quickly for a familiar face, but he didn't see any. Sitting down at the table the pretty waiter had led him to, Chance immediately started tapping his foot. In his hands he held a Nintendo DS and in the other a sharpie. He figured he was well-armed. Rumor had it that Kagayaki Aidou had managed to secure a job at a local Japanese restaurant - unfortunately, rumor didn't have it that the name was correct, so he had been guessing as best as he could - and Chance was going to be ready for him. After all the stuff he'd heard recently through the grapevine, there had been a lot more to the interaction between him and the pudgy-faced Asian than it had appeared to be. He just had to talk to him. But where was he?
With a sigh, Chance tapped the table with his sharpie, impatient as he scanned the room. After a few minutes, and much loitering and muttering, he decided he wasn't here. Distracted easily by the solitary of his visit, Chance turned on his DS and started to play 'Soul Bubbles'. He got five minutes in when his DS died. "Awww...maaan.."
Chance grabbed a napkin from his pocket and tried doodling with the sharpie. After a few seconds, he stared at the little tree and decided the art should be left to Liv's capable hands, and he crumpled it up and laid it aside. His food came, and he was soon distracted by giving the suitable, "Ooooh"s and "Aaaah"s as he realized he'd picked a good, entertaining meal. With a smirk he realized the Japanese seemed pretty talented with themselves, handling the knives and tossing food like it belonged there. Chance took his crumpled napkin and started tossing it up into the air and catching it. A couple of times he missed, then the final time it flew way out of his reached and fell into the walkway, bouncing. "Oops! Mah bad!" he called out, stepping in the traffic zone to grab his liter. "Sorry!"

As the flamboyant-looking boy walked into the traffic zone, he nearly ran into the skirts of a Dorothy Gale look-a-like.
"Sorry!"
Fey had no clue why this runaway kid was apologizing to anyone, but she had a bad feeling about the tree picture. She had already picked up the little napkin already and was looking it over, crossing the street in time for the cars to have right of way with the light's change. Leaning against the Japanese restaurant, one ruby-slippered foot propped against the wall for a little extra support, she glanced at the man with the multicolored hair curiously after carefully re-crumpling the napkin as she had found it.
"Hey, you!" Fey called to him, jumping out of her comfort zone to actually say the first word [ooc]See, I TOLD you the girl is me.[/ooc] "Is this yours, sir?"
[ooc] Sorry if this ain't what you exactly expected at first... I'll catch my stride after a few posts.[/ooc]

Boredom, of course, had always been one of his talents. He could count it up there among the dancing and the general merry-making he accomplished in the strangest and most challenging of times. With a playful laughter, he raced after his rogue napkin, searching for it so that he could destroy it before it got into the wrong hands and was used as blackmail against him or a similar sort of thing. He decided the drawing and artsy stuff should definitely be left up to Liv.
"Sorry!" he called out automatically, giggling through his expression as he watched a brown-haired girl in dress about as odd and un-street-clothes-worthy as his own. When the girl picked up the napkin and looked at it, Chance's smile started to fade away. When she made her way over to him, and propped up one foot against the wall in familiar looking red slippers that sparkled and caught his eye for a good twenty seconds, he knew he would not be the one leading the dance in this conversation.
"Hey, you!" the girl called over to him, the simple shout-out contrasted sharply by an abrupt change to a formally-spoken, "Is this yours, sir?"
Chance nodded, walking up to her and holding his hand out for the napkin, "Yeah, actually. Somehow it decided to float away from me to go see you, hoping you could save its miserable life." He laughed aloud at that, then his eyes widened in realization, and he started hopping up and down, his hands clapping a little in anticipation. "Oh my gawsh! Oh my gawsh! This is one of those fate thingies! Where I'm supposed to meet you because you have a super-effect on my life or vise versa, you know? You know?" He held out his hand to her to shake, grinning. "I'm Chance!"

Sylvia Fey Lennox
Still looking over the little scrap and its pretty doodle, Fey barely heard him yell "Sorry!" But she did look up. Seeing this kid scampering out into the street was funny enough, but the way that smile of his disappeared as he looked at her, that was enough to actually bring her to giggles. There was just something about this funny fella that brought forth her infectious laughter.
"Oi... I know this isn't the right use of the term, but seriously. My eyes are up here," Fey said with another little giggle. Her voice, normally softer than this, had gotten a bit louder when she noticed the way he was looking at her shoes. After that, she politely listened to his piece of the conversation puzzle.
"Yeah, actually. Somehow it decided to float away from me to go see you, hoping you could save its miserable life." She nodded, appreciating his humor, and looked at his outstretched hand. From what little she knew about body language, the boy wasn't just asking for the paper. He was also trusting her... to an extent.
"Well, I'm glad to have saved its life, but it isn't a miserable one at all, you know, sir." Conversation was a nice thing to have in a new city. Plus, with a new person, it told a lot of what the words themselves couldn't say. Hm, I think I have this guy figured out. Let's see if I'm right, she thought smugly. But just when Fey thought she had his character down... Boom!
Yet another peal of laughter-- normally this teen wasn't quite this bubbly, but this artist-on-caffeine style kid had her thoroughly amused-- when he started jumping and clapping. Now she didn't know what to think of him. Even more amazing was the response, which fit this version of his character quite well. "Oh my gawsh! Oh my gawsh! This is one of those fate thingies! Where I'm supposed to meet you because you have a super-effect on my life or vise versa, you know? You know?" Hearing his name-- "I'm Chance!"-- was something else that kind of amused her.
Fey believed strongly in names. Some people were meant to be Marys, some were meant to be Sylvias (she herself was a rare exception; not the prudent and strict girl everyone read the name to belong to). And some, though rarer than most titles given to people, were meant to be Chances. He definitely seemed like he lived up to his name. After all, he appeared to believe in fate more than most, and that was a quality Fey appreciated very much in others.
"Really?" Fey responded while giving back the drawing, tilting her head to the side in a bit of shock. Though normally good with new people, she wasn't sure how to speak to him. "Well, who knows? This is a Chance encounter, if the wordplay may be used..." After a moment's thought, she continued. "I don't hear that name often. It's a nice change of pace from the mundane."
Once a clumsy but well-meant curtsy had been executed, she shook his hand, smiling. "The name you'll want to call me by is Fey. Means Faery in several languages--" One of the fingers of her other hand tapped her little sterling-silver necklace. "--but people still insist on calling me Sylvia. Stupid birth certificate, spreading its lies."

Chance Savege
"Well, I'm glad to have saved its life, but it isn't a miserable one at all, you know, sir." Chance couldn't help the half-humorous, half-incredulous look on his face at the girl's usage of the word 'sir'. Of all the people in New Orleans, she was calling him sir! It was enough to make the most stern-faced of lawyers start to chuckle, he was sure. But then again, he wasn't a normal person, so maybe she wasn't either. The idea of their situation suddenly hit Chance like a ton of adrenaline bricks, and he relinquished a peal of laughter, beginning his customary welcome of observation with a few hops and lots of hand-clapping.
"Oh my gawsh! Oh my gawsh! This is one of those fate thingies! Where I'm supposed to meet you because you have a super-effect on my life or vise versa, you know? You know?" He offered his hand to her with a wide, unreserved grin, "I'm Chance!"
"Really?" was the girl's first response, handing back his doodle at last and tilting her head to the side. Her eyes seemed surprised, only making his smile brighter. He pocketed the drawing but kept her hand held in his, shaking it a little even though she hadn't really offered. Ah, well. Whatever. "Well, who knows? This is a Chance encounter, if the wordplay may be used..." Chance snorted from amusement, even though it was kind of an overdone joke. Even after years, his family members and friends would crack jokes about 'taking a Chance', and such, yet somehow it was still kind of amusing. "I don't hear that name often. It's a nice change of pace from the mundane."
"Mundane?" Chance tested the word out on his tongue, drawing it out a little longer and spreading across the emphasis in experimentation. "Mundaaane...Mundannnee..." He smiled, deciding he liked the word, "Yeah, I guess it kinda is fitting, isn't it?"
Then, the girl curtsied - an actual curtsy -- finally giving his hand a shake. Chance, unable to restrain himself in social situations, gave a little giggle at the idea of being curtsied to, in addition to being called sir. She was sending him one of those sweet, shy smiles as he decided that, like the word mundane, he liked her, too. "The name you'll want to call me by is Fey. Means Faery in several languages--" One of the fingers of her other hand tapped her little sterling-silver necklace. "--but people still insist on calling me Sylvia. Stupid birth certificate, spreading its lies."
"Oh really now?" he leaned in forward, inspecting her necklace with wide, curious eyes, "I kinda like Sylvia, though. It's like silver or something, only spelled cooler." His fingers wrapped around the tiny necklace, and he tried to memorize the design. "But if you like Fey, I'll call you that. I think it's more fun to pick out your own name, anyways."
He looked up and his expression went from the recent subdued bliss to his usual excited glance, "Hey, you hungry? I was about to eat when my paper blew away, so I guess that was fate saying I was supposed to invite you!" Chance let out a laugh, reaching down to take her hand, "Do Faeries like Asian cuisine? I've never had a chance to ask a real Faerie before, but it's one of those things you always wonder, don'tchya know?"
