OOC: But I like it! : D BIC:
Clarence "Ren" Morgan
"What do you think would be the worst way to die?"
"Suffocation." She'd answered too quick. That wasn't really a good sign. He didn't need an emo girl around right now.
He supposed his surprise showed on his face. "You think about this sort of thing too?"
Cassie nodded. "A lot more than I care to admit, actually," she said, then continued. "Being smothered. I would say drowning but I'm a fantastic swimmer, so it wouldn't happen. But having all the air sucked out of you like that...yeah. Why the question?"
"No real reason."
"Liar," she said, calling him on it. "Is perhaps your greatest fear death by...swings?"
Clarence laughed. As if. "Oh, ouch." He shook his head. "No, not exactly. Freezing to death. I think that's somewhere near suffocation, isn't it?" He met her eyes a little challengingly. "I think, feeling everything inside your body stop working, feeling yourself grow cold and stiff, and slowly weakening until you die...That would be the worst way to leave this world. And, to add, I think cold is the worst sort of weather created. I hate being cold. I'm out here, facing my fear, because I refuse to be weak. Don't you think that's brave?" He'd been steadily making his way closer to her. Maybe he could break the 'ice' with a smooth gesture... hopefully it wouldn't turn out like... last time...
"Well, I guess so. Depends on your definition of brave, doesn't it? I mean..."
Before she could continue -- her words had been fading out already, it wasn't like they'd be missed -- , Clarence kissed her. She seemed a little dazed, just kind of... sitting there. That wasn't good. He pulled away before she could push him away, staring at her face as the shock began to show.
"What," she breathed, "was that?"
He smirked. "A kiss, you know, that awesome thing you read about?"
Then Cassie shot forwards and kissed him. It almost knocked him off of his swing. He didn't mind it or anything, it was just a little... sudden. Clarence definitely didn't mind it when she ran her hands up into his hair; he really liked it when girls did that. It meant they meant it.
And honesty trumped nearly everything.
When they separated at last, Cassie looked as though she'd done something wrong. 'C***.' "Clarence... This is crazy."
He laughed, almost as breathless as she was. "I think some crazy would do you good. You know, the good kind of crazy." Clarence leaned forwards and placed a kiss on her neck, then on her jawline, then on her lips. "Enjoy yourself for a change. We could both use you being yourself for a while."

OOC: Because this forum just doesn't have enough makeout sessions. As for the nature of this one, think Grey's Anatomy and the way they talk and kiss at the same time. Enjoy. XD BIC:
Cassandra "Cassie" Wright
"Is perhaps your greatest fear death by...swings?" She didn't recognize the strange new tone in her voice. It wasn't playful exactly, but it was teasing, mocking. Not necessarily in a malicious way, but still a biting jab at whatever compelled him to hold onto a silly little swing like that. He seemed to take it as a joke though, because he laughed. "Oh, ouch." He shook his head. "No, not exactly. Freezing to death. I think that's somewhere near suffocation, isn't it? I think, feeling everything inside your body stop working, feeling yourself grow cold and stiff, and slowly weakening until you die...That would be the worst way to leave this world."
Cassie had to admit that he had a point. Their fears really weren't so different, when one really got down to it. But I still don't understand where the swing comes into this whole mess.
"And, to add, I think cold is the worst sort of weather created. I hate being cold. I'm out here, facing my fear, because I refuse to be weak. Don't you think that's brave?"
It seemed to be a loaded question. Was he searching for a compliment by asking that, or reassurance? And was he being brave at all? You're getting really close to me now...
"Well, I guess so," she said, not really answering the question. "Depends on your definition of brave, doesn't it? I mean..." How do you measure it? Is it brave that you're out in the cold when it's something you can't control in the first place? Is it brave that I'm not running away from how close you are to me right now? Is it brave that--
Before she knew it, his lips were pressed up against hers. Cassie didn't have time to react, sitting there in a sort of daze as he pulled away. Another kiss. Another unexpected...
"What," she breathed, "was that?"
"A kiss, you know, that awesome thing you read about?"
And then it was Cassie's turn to kiss him, intensely, passionately. It was as if she had no control over her own actions anymore, like she'd been taken over by some force beyond her power to fight. She didn't know what she was thinking, or if she was even thinking of all. She only knew the feel of her lips on his, the icy cold of his face beneath her equally freezing hands.
"Clarence... This is crazy." She tried to catch her breath, but the cold made it stick in her throat, nearly choking her as she fought for air.
"I think some crazy would do you good. You know, the good kind of crazy." Cassie shivered as his lips came in contact with her neck just above the folds of her scarf, but she didn't make as if to move away. Then he kissed her jaw, and then back up to her mouth again. She returned the kiss. "Enjoy yourself for a change. We could both use you being yourself for a while."
"What if this isn't me?" she breathed in between kisses. "What if I've become a different person? I don't recognize myself. I'm not the kind of girl who does things like this, kissing people in deserted playgrounds..." After every few words, she brought her lips back to his again, intensifying the kisses each time. "You know what else I'm scared of? You. And your kisses. But I'm not running away, am I? No. Is that brave? I'm tired of being afraid."

The warm spring weather and clear sky made it painfully hard to do anything besides run outside. So as soon as he could slip out of work (not like anyone cared, anyway), he went out to the huge, empty, green field in the park and met up with the guys (and one lone girl) he'd texted earlier. The regular Frisbee group. Callie, the sophomore who was in his philosophy of music class from last semester, brought two different Frisbees, but they only chose the blue one-- it was heavier, and tossed better.
It felt great just to be out, everyone all spread out in a clumsy circle, tossing and snatching and overshooting and chasing down scattered Frisbees. Every once in a while a rush of cool air would come, tousling Alex's already-moist-from-activity hair. If he could major in playing outdoors, it would be even better than majoring in music. Playing music sounded better outdoors, anyway.
He took off his shoes, feeling the grass cool beneath his feet and smiled, pulling his arm back to project the Frisbee in a massive arch, just to send one of his friends running after it. But his aim got a little off, and it just went in a huge arch over to his side, which meant Alex would be the one going after it. He jogged along the direction of the Frisbee, not close enough to catch it when it bumped into the leg of some guy who just happened to be passing by. "Bad throw," Alex offered as an apology, picking up the blue disk from the ground. "You can come join us, though, if you want. The more people, the less likely an innocent victim gets thwacked."

OOC: Yukito's outfit =3 BIC: Yukito MakiHe was on his way to meet Kagasan, a pair of sunglasses on and his acoustic guitar slung over his shoulder. It was one of those eerily-bright sunny days where birds went chirping and crap like that, so he'd decided to catch up on some much-needed practice and called his best friend up. Secretly, there was more to the agenda, but that would have to come in its own time. He yawned heavily, still feeling the long hours from the night before. He'd stayed up too late browsing the internet and achieving absolutely nothing. The initial search had been for new music to learn, and hopefully a few tips on using his new capo from Erin's parents, to no avail. Yukito hadn't really picked a certain spot for the session with Kagasan, so he decided to start for the center of the park and then work his way outward until Kagasan decided to show up. Before he'd gotten far, however, his ankle got slapped by an unexpected frisbee that came out of seemingly nowhere. Yukito let the earbud fall from one ear as he glanced up at the approaching guy. It was hard to tell how old the guy was, because his height threw Yukito off. He couldn't resist a blink of surprise at finding someone shorter than him sprinting up. "Bad throw," the guy offered as an apology, picking up the blue disk from the ground. "You can come join us, though, if you want. The more people, the less likely an innocent victim gets thwacked."He gave the briefest of tight-lipped smiles, his initial reaction a muttered 'no thanks' and to walk away. But he glanced over the guy's shoulder to see the group that he had going on. What was there to lose? He might as well give it a try. "You sure?" he asked, his eyes flickering back down to the blue-eyed guy in front of him. "I've never actually played before.."

The guy looked like your classic college-age indie rocker at Alex's first glance of him. He hadn't ever noticed him before, but that didn't mean anything. People came and went from the park usually without even being noticed. It was kind of a perk for some people, including him. Sometimes it was nice to just wander and linger and sit and think in a place without having people around to distract you. Now he didn't want that, though, he wanted to enjoy the distraction the outdoors offered today. Alex jogged the few strides to where his Frisbee had bumped the musician-guy, swooping down to pluck it back up.
"Bad throw," he said by way of explanation. "You can come join us, though, if you want. The more people, the less likely an innocent victim gets thwacked."
For a second the guy was silent-- probably didn't like new people much, and wasn't sure what he'd do with his guitar, Alex thought-- but after a second he seemed to change his mind. "You sure?"
Alex shrugged. "Unless you plan on stealing the Frisbee, in which case I'm gonna have to say no," he commented lightheartedly.
"I've never actually played before.."
The admission caught Alex by surprise. "Really?" He smiled. "It takes less skill than checkers, so you're probably safe." He gestured with a nod back to the little group that had spread out to accommodate the longer throws, and said back to the musician-guy, "We're basically tossing it back and forth, really... No score or anything. And if you want, you can put your guitar over there." Alex nodded to a little pile of belongings-- a school bag, a purse (Callie's), a bottled water, and someone's book. "One of us can always see this spot, so it's safe."
He retook his spot in their makeshift circle, and a couple of the other players spread out a bit to accommodate the new presence. "By the way, I'm Alex, that's Callie," he said, pointing to the blonde girl, "Brandon-- Ethan-- and Emmanuel," he introduced, pointing to each respectively. He would let musician-guy introduce himself on his own accord. If he wanted to, that is. If not, Alex would just figure it was his way of silently saying he didn't really want to be there, and wasn't only there because Alex had asked. And if that was they case, well, if he went back to his guitar, then a little background music would be cool, too.
"So, to toss it, you just wanna put the Frisbee here," he showed the guy, talking lowly so it was just between them, holding the disc level to the center of his stomach. "And flick your wrist out... How you turn as you toss it kind of directs its, uh.. direction.. It's physics, and I don't do much physics besides F=MA, but if you'd really like, Ethan can give you the run-down."

Yukito Maki
"Bad throw," explained the shortie with an open face, "You can come join us, though, if you want. The more people, the less likely an innocent victim gets thwacked."
Yukito considered seriously for a moment, mentally gauging the time and the probability of Kagasan getting hopelessly lost on the way to the park anyways. Then, with a resigned look - and only a hint of his true interest in the game - he asked, "You sure?"
Alex shrugged. "Unless you plan on stealing the Frisbee, in which case I'm gonna have to say no," he commented lightheartedly. Yukito allowed one edge of his mouth to twitch upwards.
"Of course. Because that's where the real money is. In frisbees. All the big heists actually revolve around plastic disks these days.." He came to a hesitant halt after a couple of steps, adding with a trace of embarrassment, "I've never actually played before.."
"Really?" Open-face showed his genuine surprise quite nicely, then smiled. Yukito wondered if he was about to be completely skunked at a game he'd never considered going near before. "It takes less skill than checkers, so you're probably safe." He gestured with a nod back to the little group that had spread out to accommodate the longer throws, and said to him, "We're basically tossing it back and forth, really... No score or anything. And if you want, you can put your guitar over there." Alex nodded to a haphazard mound of various bags and articles. Yukito tentatively laid his guitar case down next to the rest of the rabble. "One of us can always see this spot, so it's safe."
Open-face stepped into the circle while the others spread to allow Yukito in. For some reason, such wordless accommodations were always a bit unnerving in a new group, especially in a game, competitive or not. Yukito stood just in the circle, his eyes flickering to the unfamiliar faces. "By the way, I'm Alex, that's Callie," Open-face Alex said, pointing a finger at each of the group in turn. Yukito met each person's eyes briefly, committing the association of face and title as best as he could. "Brandon-- Ethan-- and Emmanuel,"
He gave a brief wave that was more a lift of the hand than anything, giving a little flash of a smile, "Hey.. Yukito."
"So, to toss it, you just wanna put the Frisbee here," Alex explained to Yukito, demonstrating the level where it should be held at. Subconsciously, Yukito's hand went to the same area on his own abdomen. "And flick your wrist out... How you turn as you toss it kind of directs its, uh.. direction.. It's physics, and I don't do much physics besides F=MA, but if you'd really like, Ethan can give you the run-down."
He mimicked the flick of the wrist a few times, trying to visualize into his palm the weight of the frisbee, but still feeling pretty clueless about the game. Truth be told, he would have liked a run-down of the more scientific parts of it, or at least a chance to test-throw the frisbee on his own a few times, to get the feel of it, but he'd already stopped their game long enough, and he didn't want to show too clearly how 'un-cultured' he could be. "I guess I'll just give it a try, and we'll just have to live with the injuries," he said in a deadpan tone, though his eyes showed amusement and - more prominently - a challenge. "Do you just toss it to whomever, or is there an order or something?"

OOC: Plottingness stuff with MN. BIC: Liv AldisLiv was walking alone, as usual. She didn't really have anywhere in particular to go, so she decided that she would explore the park nearby. She hadn't really thought about bringing her sketchbook when she left her house but she realized that she probably should have when she got there. Normally whenever she goes to a new area, no matter where it is, she brings her sketchbook to try and draw what she sees around her. It's almost like a test she makes herself do every now and again, to see if she can improve on sketching what she sees in a place that is not familiar to her. In her mind, it's important that she does this and if she can't she is used to staying there all day until she gets it just right. Some would tell her that that's being way too obsessive about her art but she didn't think of it that way. She thought that it was just a way to push herself into her full potential, a way to expand on things she already knew about. Silently, she went over to the swings and sat down on one of them, deciding to rest her legs for a little while. Her mother had told her not to go out today, she wasn't really sure why and she truthfully didn't care. If she had stayed inside then she would have been there when her father got home, and she always did everything she could to avoid that. Her mom hurt her, yes. But she wasn't much bigger than Liv. her dad on the other hand, he was huge compared to the thin teen that she was. And the last thing she wanted was to be smacked around by someone who could be compared with the Hulk. Liv knew she would get in trouble if her mom remembered telling her not to go out, but if she did stay home, she'd get in trouble for something that was completely not her fault anyways PLUS her dad would be there. So she knew that she was doing the right thing. Leaning her head back to look at the sky, Liv sighed softly, wondering how this whole mess with her parents even started. Ever since she could remember they've been this way. But she never understood why. That seemed to be the hardest question to answer in her mind. She knew how and when and with what, but why. Was it the way she looked? Did she remind them of bad times some way? Was it because she tried to fight back every now and again? She just didn't know and she wasn't sure that she would ever figure it out. Leaning back, she took the two chains of the swing carefully in her hands and spun around a bit, causing the chains to twirl around each other, then she let go. She liked the dizzying feeling of spinning sometimes, she wasn't sure why but it almost made her feel like a kid again. She wasn't sure if anyone was watching and she didn't really care. She just kept leaning back and spinning, a small smile on her face.

Our of common courtesy, Alex briefly introduced their little circle, and in turn learned the new invitee's name. And that he was either shy or had other places to be. Or both. Unfortunately, he had a name Alex had never heard before and he was pretty sure it would take him at least three more meetings up with the guy to remember it.
He did remember that the dude hadn't played before. He had an accent-- maybe Frisbee wasn't popular over there? "So, to toss it, you just wanna put the Frisbee here." Alex demonstrated, the musician-guy mimicking his movements just slightly. It occurred to him that this new acquaintance must take things pretty seriously. "And flick your wrist out... How you turn as you toss it kind of directs its, uh.. direction.. It's physics, and I don't do much physics besides F=MA, but if you'd really like, Ethan can give you the run-down." Musician-guy-with-the-unusual-name was experimenting with an invisible Frisbee. It was kind of funny how serious he was being about this. Like they even kept points or something... it was just a way to waste time and be outside and run around. But whatever worked for him. "Want a throw?"
"I guess I'll just give it a try, and we'll just have to live with the injuries."
"It won't be anything we haven't experienced before," Alex commented. "This is actually how Callie keeps her nails trimmed," he joked, miming with the Frisbee how it could sheer nails when you caught it.
"Do you just toss it to whomever, or is there an order or something?"
"Not really... just whoever.. and you can call their name if you don't think they're paying attention, or if it looks like it's moving closer to a different person than you intended. I might be trying to throw it to Ethan and it accidentally heads over to Callie, so I'd call her out. But it doesn't really matter. Someone'll catch it. Ready?" He held it ready for the short throw to Yukito, then sent it lightly over to him.

"Want a throw?" Alex offered, and Yukito consented, shrugging.
"I guess I'll just give it a try, and we'll just have to live with the injuries." He hoped his tease got through and made them smile at least a little. New Guy was always a little awkward, but he was willing to give the game a shot.
"It won't be anything we haven't experienced before," Alex commented. "This is actually how Callie keeps her nails trimmed,” he joked, miming with the frisbee how it could sheer nails when you caught it. Yukito smiled a little at that – mentally imagining Kagayaki squeaking as the frisbee shot past and the edges mystically sliced off his fingertips like a blade.
"Do you just toss it to whomever, or is there an order or something?" he wondered aloud, looking back and forth for some kind of indicator.
Ready?"
Freaking fantastic... I've gotta remember their names right off the bat? He could tell this was going to awkward. He didn't want to be the guy yelling out 'you, in the yellow shirt'. Alex held the frisbee at the ready, giving Yukito a moment for warning, then sent it flying his way. Unsure if it was legal or not, he reached out and caught the frisbee on top and bottom with both hands, glancing over at the others for a quick confirmation, before deciding they didn't care anyways. He met eyes with the only girl – Callie? - and gave her a moment before bending the frisbee back towards his stomach, as Alex had done, and sent it flying towards her. It curved, drastically, and went toward one of the guys, and he wasn't sure which. Letting out a sigh and a face that said, 'well, that kinda sucked, but oh, well'. Then, he shrugged and waited, deciding that there was nothing but time to kill today.
Chance Savege
He'd been taking a nap.
Well, not really. But his company had left out early, leaving him sprawled on the makeshift picnic blanket, basking in the sun. It was an almost-nap for someone who stayed up too late into the night playing Defend Your Castle, a highly addictive flashgame, into the insane hours of the morning. He lifted his face up with a happy smile, and let out a little sigh. His gaze wandered idly over the park, and he grinned as he spotted a familiar girl on the swings. It's Livvy! She was twisting her swing around until the chains looped around themselves, then letting herself spin as the chains attempted to right. The whole theater thing with Erin had been quite a can-opener for his head, but he still felt extremely confused. He knew how much he cared about Liv, and everyone he spoke to about it urged him to just go ahead and say something to her. He never would have suspected that being open with who he liked would have been so hard...it made him wonder just what all those other feelings, the ones easily spoken, had meant.
She smiled, softly, and demurely, but the soft little smile managed to lift her normally drawn and tense face into a gentle softness. Chance's face lit up at her unawareness, at the opportunity to just watch her for a moment. Yeah, the rest of it had definitely paled in comparison. This was a long time coming. He could only hope it took a lot longer to go away, if it ever did fade.
But he'd never know if he didn't give it a shot, would he?
“Liv! Heeey! Over heeere!” He waved his arm up over his shoulder, calling her over. “Heeeey! Come 'ere!”

Spinning was the most blissful feeling she had ever felt, besides flying. All her insides seemed to jumble up and be overrun with butterflies and adrenalin. It was a good feeling, a feeling that she wished could last forever, even when she wasn't spinning. Silently, she felt like if she could just keep this feeling bottled inside, then the hits wouldn't hurt at much and the insults would be overrun with the same butterflies and good feelings.
But the more logical side of her told her that it would never stay, so she decided to just enjoy it while it lasted. Spinning one way, then another. One, then another. She could have drowned in what little happiness there was in doing this; something a child would do. Maybe because she was still a child, or maybe because part of her wanted to turn back time, so that she could HAVE a childhood. Either way, it didn't matter to her while she spun, head back and smiling at the sky.
“Liv! Heeey! Over heeere!” Her heart stopped for a minute and she would have fallen if it weren't for her sudden iron-grip on the chains. Quickly, she slipped off the swing and looked all around for the person who called out her name, her eyes wide. “Heeeey!Come 'ere!” She recognized the voice this time.
Chance had his whole arm up, waving his hand in the air to get her attention. She could have laughed at herself then, but her heart was still racing a thousand miles per minute. She managed to smile though, and start walking towards him, mentally telling her heart to calm down but also stealing glances from the corner of her eye to see if her parents were there. They knew about the park... or at least she thought they did.
Taking a deep breath, she sped up a little bit and gave him the biggest hug she could manage. She had been doing that a lot lately, it was her way of thanking him for making her smile every day. Sometimes she just wished that there was something she could do for him other than hugs and drawings. Something that she could help him out with or anything. It just didn't feel right to her that he constantly helped her (even if he didn't realize it) and she had no other way of showing her gratitude.

"Do you just toss it to whomever, or is there an order or something?" Already Alex couldn't remember his name and was going to avoid saying it until he absolutely had to ask. So by answer he just gave a little shrug.
Ready?"
Musician-guy-with-unusual-name didn't look particularly thrilled about Alex's description. Was he too wordy? Sorry, dude... Before the silence turned to awkward, he went ahead and lightly tossed the Frisbee the new guy's way. It looked like he was aiming to send it Callie's way, and she saw it too. She jumped out to catch it, but it drifted in a curve over to Brandon's direction, who took a dive to catch it before it hit the ground.
"Ha! Got it!" he cried triumphantly, gruffly, as he got back to his feet, not bothering to rid the dust and grass from his pants and shirt. Alex grinned-- he never got that into a game, but it was always good for entertainment to watch the more enthusiastic Frisbee-ers act like they were diving for a home run or something. "You don't have to do what he does," he told their newcomer with amusement in his voice.
After a few more tosses it headed back from Emanuel's hand to their newcomer in a high and wide arc. Alex followed the pathway until it was clear who it was going to, then cued, "It's yours!"

“Liv! Heeey! Over heeere!” He could see her freeze, unsure of where the voice was coming from. When she slipped off the swing and started searching for the speaker, he started waving frantically. “Heeeey!Come 'ere!” She saw him, and he could swear he saw her visibly relax, despite the distance. He sent her a broad smile, anyways, figuring she was doing one of her ridiculous 'pretend I'm a ninja' games again. Chance watched as a demure smile twitched its uncertain way across her lips as she approached him. He giggled a bit to see her glancing from side to side, reminding him of a little child trying to cross a busy street.
Pushing himself up on his hands, he laughed openly at her and asked in teasing tones, “You act like you're approaching a serial killer, not your BFF!” When she came up to him, she sped up a bit and dropped to give him an enormous hug that not only knocked him over, but knocked the breath out of his lungs and sent happy little butterflies through his insides until they fluttered out in giddy laughter. “Hey, sweets. What're you up to today? Want to hang out with the hottest guy on campus for awhile?” He rolled to his back on the picnic blanket, shielding his eyes from the sun so he could look over at her. Then, unexpectedly, he pulled up his shirt a bit to reveal in a flash his very pale abdomen, declaring loudly for her, “Belly-y-y! Look!” Then he hid it again, chuckling as he shifted as though he were about to take a nap, then changing his mind and sitting up to face Liv square in the face. “I have something to tell you, Liv... something pretty serious... for me..”
Yukito Maki
He tried to aim it at the only girl, but the shot went haywire and some other guy took a dramatic dive to catch it just before it hit the ground, coming up looking pleased with himself.
"Ha! Got it!" he cried triumphantly, gruffly, as he got back to his feet, not bothering to rid the dust and grass from his pants and shirt. Yukito arched an amused eyebrow, seeing a similar expression on Alex's face.
"You don't have to do what he does," he told Yukito with a smile. Yukito let out a little, “Heh..” and gave a crooked smirk, turning back to the game as the frisbee went flying back and forth. Then, the frisbee flew high into the air, and Yukito took a step back, watching it. It looked like it was heading for him, but he wasn't...
"It's yours!" Alex called, and Yukito threw up his hands to accept the in-coming disk, but he miscalculated and it bounced across the tips off his fingers before spiraling to the ground. With a momentary pout, he leaned down to pick it up again, looking to Alex for a cue, then tossing it back to Brandon. “I guess I'll get it next time...” he muttered, half to himself.

She smiled when he laughed at her, she didn't mind. “You act like you're approaching a serial killer, not your BFF!” he exclaimed jokingly. When she came a bit closer to him, her speed picked up and she gave him a really big hug, as usual. She laughed in her light, happy way as she knocked him over playfully. She found that it was really easy to not be scared around Chance, so she did this every time she saw him. It was her way of thanking him for being an amazing American friend, or so she would say.
“Hey, sweets. What're you up to today? Want to hang out with the hottest guy on campus for awhile?” He asked and she tilted her head to the side curiously. "Sweets?" She didn't really answer his questions partly because she was too confused about what he said. She watched him as he rolled on the blanket below them and put his arm up, shielding his eyes from the sun so he could see.
Then he did something that sent her into a laughing fit that hurt her sides only after a few moments. He lifted up his shirt so she saw his bare stomach and yelled, “Belly-y-y! Look!” Then pulled his shirt down again. She could never forget how random he was sometimes, partly because he wouldn't let her. He just had so much energy, it was really amusing just to watch him be himself. When he turned as if he was getting into a position where he could sleep it only took a second for him to change his mind entirely and sit upright.
He looked right into her eyes and she just stared back, amused and confused again about what he was thinking. “I have something to tell you, Liv... something pretty serious... for me..” Her eyes widened in shock for a moment and her body went rigid. Thoughts of him telling her that something bad happened or that he was moving filled her mind and her smile left her. She searched his eyes, wishing that she could tell what he was thinking. The last thing she wanted was for Chance to move away or there be a chance she could never see him again. "Ya?" she asked hesitantly, leaning backwards slightly as if she was bracing herself for the words that he was about to say.
The look in his eyes worried her, and she hoped he wasn't in any sort of trouble.

OOC: Mascii, I wanted to add something to provoke action from our charries, soooo... tell me if this is really not working for you or something, and I will change it. XD BIC:
Alex Pierce
Alex only half-watched as the musician with the Asian name (in his head, Alex started calling him Yeats, because he could at least remember it started with a Y) tossed the Frisbee in a wide arch. It missed his target, but Alex only really noticed when it missed Callie, and Brandon had made a dive for it. "Ha! Got it!"
A glance at "Yeats" showed Alex his amusement -- and probably bewilderment-- at the athletic drama from Brandon. "You don't have to do what he does," he said with a smile.
“Heh..” "Yeats" only looked partially amused. Probably the kind that hated to botch stuff in front of people, Alex figured. He was, too, actually, but around a familiar group of people like this it didn't matter so much anymore. A few more tosses of the Frisbee, and once more it was heading in Yeats' direction--
"It's yours!" Alex called, and the guitar-carrying hands flew up to snag it, but just too short-- it bounced off the tips of his fingers and tumbled, confused, to the ground. The guy glared at it for a moment, the jerked it back up from the grass. He glanced at Alex, who just shrugged. It was just gravity... he understood the guy's frustration, but wasn't going to help in making it worse. Without feedback, the dude tossed it over towards Brandon and muttered something to himself. Alex was pretty sure it was about catching it next time.
Alex wanted to tell him it was no big deal-- everyone dropped it or let it skim or something from time to time, and there was no one keeping score or a winner-- but he knew that would make it worse. Alex didn't like it when people belittled things that were important to him, and looking competent in front of new people was definitely something he could sympathize with as important. So instead, he kept going with the game without saying anything. At least, for a little while. Until a hissing caught his attention, and he missed the Frisbee looking for the source. Suddenly there was a massive POP! and a sweeping streak of water propelled itself into the sky, somewhere about 15 feet from where they were hanging out in the park. Already large splashes of water were hitting the group, and quickly the ground was soaking. The stuff!
Immediately the group converged on the pile of things, including New Guy's guitar. Alex snapped it up, sliding over to the guy and making sure he got a hold of it. "Let's move," he muttered, snagging his own bookbag and heading away as the water got worse. "Water main, I bet," he muttered, brushing back the moist bangs falling over his eyes.

Chance Savege
After successfully giving Liv a nice little belly-flash and make her fall into a heavy laughing fit worth earning, Chance leapt up to face her, deciding that a nap was the last thing that he needed right now. He turned to meet Liv's eyes, bright and shining with the happiness he'd been tossing her way continuously since he first saw her, smiled at her, and decided to plunge forward. “I have something to tell you, Liv... something pretty serious... for me..” He saw her eyes widen in surprise and maybe a little concern.
"Ya?" she asked hesitantly, leaning backwards slightly as if she was bracing herself for the words that he was about to say.
Chance took a deep breath and let it out, then shifted closer to Liv, taking her hand in his. "We're like, best buds forever, you know? And I know sometimes I'm a little crazy. And I know you're not so cool with the whole speaking-English thing, but you know, really, most of us suck at it and all, and it is just fabulous to hear you speak Norwegian anyways, because I think it's awesome! But anyways, you're pretty awesome and I've known for a long time that I've, you know, loved you and your smile and the way your eyes glow in the dark and the way you let me kiss your cheek and hug you whenever I want," he took a deep breath, bouncing by this point a bit in his seat, and continuing, "So I just wanna say that I want to be your boyfriend. Because I love you. Like that." He felt the blush rising to his cheeks as he continued to bounce, "So what do you say?"
Yukito Maki
The game continued, and Yukito tried very hard not to get frustrated with his inability to get the hang of the frisbee game. He had just managed to catch it, and then toss it short guy's way, when a strange sound erupted. The frisbee hit the ground near short guy, and then a resounding pop relinquished a large spray of water from the ground, drenching them thoroughly within seconds. Yukito gave a start, racing away with the rest of them. Immediately, he raced for his guitar, cursing his stupid luck. If the guitar got ruined, he would seriously punch something. Short guy slid over to the stuff, grabbing Yukito's guitar and holding out to him. "Let's move. Water main, I bet." Yukito nodded, quickly took the guitar and then raced off with short-guy away from the water.
"Yeah, there's my kind of luck... Should we let someone know about it or something?" He held up his guitar for inspection, wiping off the water with his damp t-shirt and hoping no water stains would show up.
