Liv Aldis
“I have something to tell you, Liv... something pretty serious... for me..” Her eyes immediately widened at what he said. A million bad thoughts went through her head as she wondered what had made him look so serious. Was something wrong? Was he leaving?
"Ya?" she asked hesitantly, leaning backwards slightly and bracing herself for the worst.
She watched Chance inhale and exhale deeply, only adding to her worry. Then he shifted closer to Liv, taking her small hand in his. Her eyes dropped down to their touching hands and widened to the extremes. He looked so nervous, so intent on what he was about to say. "We're like, best buds forever, you know? And I know sometimes I'm a little crazy. And I know you're not so cool with the whole speaking-English thing, but you know, really, most of us suck at it and all, and it is just fabulous to hear you speak Norwegian anyways, because I think it's awesome! But anyways, you're pretty awesome and I've known for a long time that I've, you know, loved you and your smile and the way your eyes glow in the dark and the way you let me kiss your cheek and hug you whenever I want,"
She was having a hard time following what he was saying, so many words so quickly was distracting her from noticing that she was leaning forward as well. Chance took another breath as she held her's, going through bits of pieces of what she understood in her mind. He started bouncing, like a little kid, really and she wondered if he was okay. "So I just wanna say that I want to be your boyfriend. Because I love you. Like that."
She understood that.
Boyfriend... like Natalie used to have. She remembered how happy in made her sister and how they were so close and intimate. But most importantly, he protected her sometimes, giving her a place to stay when things got bad at home. And they cared about each other with a kind of love that she had only seen with them. His blush somehow managed to trigger her cheeks to flush as well. She had never been in this situation before, so she wasn't sure how she was supposed to react. "So what do you say?"
She paused a minute, thinking about how comfortable he made her feel and how he always made her smile every time she saw him, how he made her heart skip as he kissed her cheek in his own unique greeting. And then she knew what she was going to say.
But before she spoke, she smiled and tackled him in a hug. "Yes!" she exclaimed, her cheeks burning from the mixture of beaming and the blush that heated up her face. "Yesyesyes." she said, slightly softer this time as she lifted her eyes to meet his familiar ones. "I love you... like that." she mimicked slowly, trying her best to get the words right.

Alex Pierce
"Let's move. Water main, I bet." The guy nodded--what WAS his name??-- and veered off as soon as possible from the sudden geyser.
"Yeah, there's my kind of luck... Should we let someone know about it or something?"
"I think they'll get wind soon enough," Alex muttered with a glance at Old Faithful. "Good old Louisiana infrastructure..."
Musician-guy held up his guitar for inspection, wiping off the water with his damp t-shirt. Seemed a little counterproductive... "I'm sure there's paper towels or something around here. In the restrooms, at least," Alex offered, finding a patch of ground far enough away that it wasn't soaked. He laid down on it, apparently the only one out of the group willing to stay out after being gusher-ified. "Reason fifty-three this state is messed up...."

"So I just wanna say that I want to be your boyfriend. Because I love you. Like that." Chance felt a heat on his face and that happy little surge that pushed him forward. Liv's face was unreadable as she listened, the little lights bouncing in her eyes as she registered his words in slow motion. “So what do you say?"
There was a long pause, where he wasn't sure what to do, but he found himself sitting abnormally still and quiet, waiting. Then, Liv leapt forward with a grin and tackled him in a hug, sending him into long, boistrous bouts of laughter.
"Yes!" she exclaimed, her expression a glow of mirth and happiness, and his cheeks started to ache from smiling so hard. "Yesyesyes." she said, slightly softer this time as she lifted her eyes. "I love you... like that." she said, slowly. Chance beamed, chuckling as he shifted his hips to be next to hers, wrapping his arms around her.
“Well, then,” he said in a boasting, proud tone, “Kiss me now, or lose me forever!” Without waiting for her to make the first move, he cupped her cheeks in both his hands, pressing his lips to hers as he lifted her face to meet his. After several seconds, he pulled away, and let out a long sigh of relief. “Let's go on a date! Tonight! Our first date will be tonight!”

"Yeah, there's my kind of luck... Should we let someone know about it or something?" he asked, looking over at the spouting water-fountain. Several people milling about stopped whatever they were doing to watch the rise and fall of the water from the public main.
"I think they'll get wind soon enough," Alex muttered, "Good old Louisiana infrastructure..."
Yukito, meanwhile, turned to his damp guitar, attempting to wipe off the majority of the accumulated water with his shirt, which was just as wet. He dropped the idea, frowning, not realizing that Short Guy was watching his attempts. "I'm sure there's paper towels or something around here. In the restrooms, at least," her offered, casually flopping down on a patch of grass far enough from the main to not get wet. Yukito stared down at him, a little surprised at the movement. "Reason fifty-three this state is messed up...."
Yukito smirked, looking across the park, his guitar held loose against his stomach as he did a quick scan of the area for Aidousan. When he spotted him, he looked back down at Short Guy, who looked even shorter when he was laying on the ground, making Yukito arch an eyebrow in amusement. “Well, thanks for letting me join in your game. I guess I'd better go...” He shrugged, the dampness of his clothes hitting him again, “I'll see you around...”

OOC: Kagayaki's outfit. :3 I'm guessing, since Alex is still there, it would be okay if I have Kagayaki talk to him? If not, just let me know and I can take it out. BIC:Kagayaki AidouOver the last month, since he'd been back in America, Kagayaki had noticed the dramatic change in his conversational skills. Those English classes had really done the trick. True, he wasn't as good as he wanted to be, but it had really helped... even if it had taken part of the money he'd needed for his ticket back home. But what was done-done, right? Well, something like that. The point was, he felt better about wandering in public, and interacting with people in public. It was much better now. He didn't have to be so afraid when someone spoke to him. He understood his friends more too. It was just... better. Since they hadn't hung out for a while, especially to practice music, Yukito and him had agreed to meet up to play guitar. Kagayaki had his in a rough-cloth case, strapped to his back as he walked, hands in his pockets, around the edges of the park. He couldn't help but smile, liking the feeling of nostalgia he got when he wore his guitar. ' It's a part of me that you gave me, but, somehow, it's completely mine. I like that.' He paused for a moment, noticing a huge cloud of water. Squinting for a moment, he saw several people running out of it. Kagayaki laughed, recognizing a familiar figure rushing his guitar to safety. ' Yukito.' A small guy – small as in, reminded Kagayaki of people back home – with blond hair walked up behind Yukito and said something to him, but Kagayaki wasn't close enough to hear it. Hands still tucked in his pockets, he walked up as close as he dared, not being sure just how water-proof his case would be in that fountain. “ Mitsu yo,” Kagayaki said to a wet-looking Yukito as he smiled a crooked smile. “Found you.” ' You always were so protective of your guitar. I mean, I like my guitar too, but you act like it's a part of you or something. It's kind of silly, isn't it?' He turned to the short guy, still smiling. “Wet, eh? What happen?”

Liv Aldis
"I love you... like that." Liv said slowly after replying to his question with an enthusiasm that she didn't remember showing for a long time. Chance was beaming as she looked up at him, he looked so very very happy. Her saying yes had to be the right thing, because he seemed so enthusiastic about it and she already knew he cared about her. Her heart rate skyrocketed when he wrapped his arms around her thin frame. She smiled so broadly it hurt her face, but she was too happy to care.
“Well, then,” he said in a tone she didn't completely recognize, “Kiss me now, or lose me forever!” Her eyes widened to the extremes as his hands quickly brought her face up to his and their lips met. She had never been kissed before, so it came as a shock to her and she wasn't sure what she should be doing. Her body tensed and she was so still it probably looked like she was a statue. But it only took half a second until she just closed her eyes and began to relax. Her heart was pounding and there were definite butterflies in her stomach as he pulled away. She heard him sigh and her eyes opened to see his happy face again. She could have died right then and been the happiest girl on earth. “Let's go on a date! Tonight! Our first date will be tonight!”
She nodded, only half understanding but too ecstatic to care. "Ya!" Her arms wrapped around his neck in her own sort of embrace.

Aidousan had impeccable timing, casually striding up while Yukito clutched his damp instrument as though it were his firstborn child that had slipped and injured itself. While he tried to survey the damage, Short Guy suggested dry towels in the restrooms, and Yukito acknowledged the sensible idea with a nod. When he caught eyes with Aidousan, he thanked Short Guy for letting him in on the game, then headed off toward his friend.
“Mitsu yo,” Aidousan said, looking amused at a wet Yukito. “Found you.”
Yukito sighed wearily, slipping the strap across his shoulder and looking around for a new restroom that, hopefully, had paper towels. “That you did...”
“Wet, eh? What happen?”
“We were playing frisbee when some pipe burst somewhere,” Yukito shrugged, starting to walk off, then stopping and with the air of a stubborn child and held out his hand to Aidousan. “Let me borrow your shirt. It's dry, and I don't want my guitar to get ruined.” The bold request reminded him of when he was little and would boss his friend around, and to their band days when he had to keep the rambunctious boys in check. And Yukito waited now, hand outstretched, expecting either the possible salvation of the dry shirt, or the laughter of denial. It was alright if he stayed wet. It was a warm enough day. But the guitar.... Seriously.

Their first kiss – the first real kiss, not the peck on the cheek of a friend or a comrade – was breathtaking but, in his opinion, too long in coming as he let out a peal of laughter from sheer delight. “Let's go on a date! Tonight! Our first date will be tonight!”
She nodded eagerly, "Ya!" her only response, but she flung her arms around his neck and he held her close, beaming and his chest filled with pride and cheer.
“I will take you out to dinner at...” He pursed his lips in intense though, tapping his chin with a hand he managed to free from Liv, “Oooh...Koto's! I want to watch you eat all the foreign foods. My Norwegian girlfriend eating Japanese food. Hahaha...” He gave her another kiss, this time more casual, with most of the eagerness gone but still with all the need, and whispered, “I am very happy...”
I think we are done here...mwhaha... Moony, message me if you want to rp their first date!

Kagayaki Aidou
“Mitsu yo. Found you.”
Yukito looked a little grumpy, to add to being wet. “That you did...”
“Wet, eh? What happen?” Kagayaki asked, smiling.
“We were playing frisbee when some pipe burst somewhere.” Yukito shrugged, but Kagayaki's eyes widened. He looked around, suddenly not feeling so comfortable in the park, thinking that another one might go off -- with his luck -- while he was standing on it or something. When he turned back to Yukito, he saw a hand was held out to him expectantly.
"...Eh?"
“Let me borrow your shirt. It's dry, and I don't want my guitar to get ruined.”
Kagayaki froze for a moment, thinking. Alright, it was his guitar, so Yukito wasn't kidding. Even if it was a ridiculous thing to ask. And, lucky for Yukito, Kagayaki was wearing a white t-shirt under the black one. But he liked the black one better.
But Yukito really loved his guitar. It was be so bad if it got ruined.
Sighing, Kagayaki pulled the guitar case over his head and put it on a bench that was close but dry. He managed to get over-shirt off without taking off the other one, but it wasn't fun. By the time he put the shirt in Yukito's hand, he was frowning.
"You're so bossy," he said, pouting as he returned to his guitar and took it out. "Should know by now, yes?" He smiled a little and let his fingers aimlessly fall across the strings. It felt so right to hold it, seeing Yukito over their with his. He looked over at the mess that the water had turned this part of the park into and felt his smile grow as he played something he thought would fit. It wasn't complicated -- nothing he made ever was, he'd found -- but he liked it.
This park made him think of Cassie.
Sighing just a little, Kagayaki looked back at Yukito. "Guitar all better?"

Aidousan just stared at his open hand, as though contemplating whether to shake it or spit in it. "...Eh?"
“Let me borrow your shirt. It's dry, and I don't want my guitar to get ruined.” Yukito's voice was calm and utterly serious. Aidousan stared at him blankly for a few moments, then with a sigh he removed his guitar case and then his over-shirt. When Yukito took the black, long sleeved shirt from his friend's hands - he briefly wondered why Aidousan could wear long sleeves in warm weather - and then he noticed the frown on his friend's face.
"You're so bossy," he said, pouting as he returned to his guitar and took it out. "Should know by now, yes?"
Yukito made no answer except a bit of a shrug, wadding up the shirt and wiping the surface of the guitar with it. His hair was wet and kept falling in his eyes, delaying his work, but he was sure he'd dry himself in an hour, since it was so warm outside. While he waited, Aidousan started playing around on his guitar, adding instantly a new atmosphere to the scene with the wizened acoustic sound. While his eyes were on his guitar, his ears hone in on Aidousan's piece, trying to find its meaning. Then he shrugged away the curiosity, thinking Aidousan was just playing whatever was coming to him.
"Guitar all better?" he asked Yukito, who slipped the guitar strap over his shoulder.
"I guess we'll just have to see," he voiced, flicking his wrist and tested the strings a couple times each, then starting in on the basic chords, melding into a skeleton of what Aidousan had been playing, then adding in his own ending and a key switch, sitting down next to his friend and waiting for him to join in with his own addition. It sounded like the guitar was alright, though Yukito was straining his ears to hear any differences.

Kagayaki Aidou
"You're so bossy. Should know by now, yes?"
Sitting on a bench, Kagayaki's fingers slipped effortlessly across the strings. The feeling of the piece, he couldn't quite understand, but it sounded nice. It sounded like... right now. Was that something that could be heard? It felt like now too.
He looked over at Yukito "Guitar all better?" he asked, as his friend pulled the strap on.
"I guess we'll just have to see," Yukito said. Kagayaki smiled a little, watching as Yukito's whole person seemed to change when music came. He even sat next to Kagayaki on the bench, making it obvious that this wasn't the Yukito that most people saw.
Wait... that sounded like...
Going back to the chords he'd been playing, Kagayaki realized the harmony there. Yukito was playing the same music! The familiarity there sent a rush through him. He couldn't help but play a little faster and see if Yukito would follow.
'Do you remember how it felt? Making music together? We're older now, and we've been hurt by the world, but we're still back where we started and... this feels like something I missed.'
Without stopping the music this time, Kagayaki watched his friend. "Have you writted songs, ne? You used to. It made you so happy."

Yukito Maki
The quick improv from Aidousan appealed to him, and Yukito jumped in, responding with something similar-sounding, but adding a new touch to it, especially the end. He looked up to see Aidousan's eyes sparkling, then his friend started to play it again, faster. Sensing he would do this, Yukito jumped in at almost the same time, playing fairly close to what Aidousan was doing. It sounded too hectic, though, so Yukito drew back and played a more underlying theme, building on his melody with the more basic chords, drawing it out to put emphasis on certain parts that felt important.
He liked the way the guitar felt in his hands, against him, his shoulders hunched over the instrument as though it was a central part of him, and vitally important to protect and keep close to. His hands seemed to fill with energy and elation at the feeling of the strings beneath his fingers, especially at hearing their combined sounds blending together, more and more harmoniously with each strum.
Aidousan looked up at him, and they continued to play while he asked Yukito, "Have you writted songs, ne? You used to. It made you so happy."
Yukito nodded a little, thinking back on how most of his recent writings had such a different feel to them, a different focus than his older creations. It wasn't bad, just...different. He strummed a bit faster to build and then started to sing, quietly, and then the melody he'd just been learning came out and fit with Aidousan's guitar. Gradually his voice grew louder until the final words of the chorus became almost a desperate cry.
”Is there too much we have broken here? Can we play the game? It seemed like lies and pretense The pointless story has ended
Start a new one Start a new one
I opened up my wings and went toward A broken black sky reached The wind forever colored you
Start a new one Start a new one!”

Kagayaki Aidou
"Have you writted songs, ne? You used to. It made you so happy."
Yuyukun gave him a nod, but didn't say anything for a bit. Kagayaki watched while his friend's hands slowly began to move, and he felt a song coming. Smiling, he positioned himself, trying to listen close enough to add to the song as Yukito began to sing.
”Is there too much we have broken here? Can we play the game? It seemed like lies and pretense The pointless story has ended
Start a new one Start a new one
I opened up my wings and went toward A broken black sky reached The wind forever colored you
Start a new one Start a new one!”
Smiling, he hummed a little, trying to coordinate himself with the sounds as he heard them. The guitar had become so natural to him before, that even now he could play a sound just by hearing it. His fingers found a varied version of the melody even after Yukito's voice faded.
"Start a new one, start a new one..." He laughed, looking up. "Needs a... a solo." He held up his guitar and played a few random chords. "Like... hm..." Moving back into a more comfortable position, he took in a deep breath and played something. Leaning back, he folded his hands behind his head. "Don't know... something like that."

Yukito Maki
Aidousan continued to play with him, even after he stopped singing. Ignorant to any passersby, Yukito followed along with Aidousan, who had always had a knack for lead guitar over rhythm. Two acoustics...it was quite a sound, and perhaps it was the open air that made it so much more beautiful, so much more honest and stripped of unnecessary excess. It was sounds like this that brought him into music in the first place, moments like this that was the reason why, even after everything, Yukito continued to play the guitar. When he stopped playing, his hands rested possessively over the thin and slightly faded paint on the body of his guitar, familiar shapes and shades beneath his fingertip reminding him of past days. His finger trailed the line of enera, an ancient Japanese yōkai, the wisps of smoke that vaguely resembled a human face its dark appearance. His face was solemn as he looked back up at Aidousan.
"Start a new one, start a new one..." He laughed, looking up. "Needs a... a solo." He held up his guitar and played a few random chords. "Like... hm..."
Aidousan fell into a more comfortable position, then took a breath and played for about a dozen measures. As the last chords rang and faded out, he leaned back and folded his hands behind his head. Yukito still stroked the lines of the enera quietly, watching him. "Don't know... something like that."
“Yes..maybe..” He absentmindedly strummed at the guitar, then stating, “This is the first time we've really hung out since we got back from Japan.” The declaration was simply made, and it took him a moment before he could look up at Aidousan, his face expressionless. There were a lot of questions that bubbled beneath the surface between them, and Yukito couldn't deny that he'd been avoiding him, and all those questions, for the last few months. But getting together today had reminded him of how they'd once been. They could play together just like they used to, talk like they once had. Yukito rarely felt that Kagayaki was angry at him or irritated that he couldn't convey his thoughts well. It had once seemed like Kagayaki and Yukito, both stunted in the ability to speak their feelings, had held a unique understanding of what it was to hold things in and not know the right words for them. They were very different people, to be sure, but there had always been that level of trust.
And Kagyaki had broken it. As of yet, Yukito had evaded all questions as to how he felt about that trust now. What made our friendship if not that trust, Aidousan? Is our friendship still here? Can it be revived? Do we even want it to, now with what's happened?

OOC: I think we decided to end that Kagukito interaction from last summer... So, heeeeeeeeere's Lucas! He's open for RP to anyone, but I'd really like some bro love here. Especially if you have said bro know Lucas already. That'd be cool. :3 BIC:Lucas RydellHe was seriously considering never getting off this park bench. It was nice, right here. There was no homework to get from a bench. Doctor Ramsey had lived on a bench at a younger age, and now he was a neurosurgeon... maybe it built character. Plus, it would mean he didn't have to live practically alone in that creepy old house most of the time, and he wouldn't have fights with his dad when he wasn't there alone,. Really, why did it have to be like that? For a long time now, they either didn't talk or argued about something. He'd almost gone to stay with Doctor Ramsey three times already this month, but Doctor wouldn't stand for it simply on account of "a few bad words" between them, as he'd put it himself. Though he thought it had helped when Doctor Ramsey called today to talk to his father. Lucas had heard the yelling from the line in the other room... Doctor Ramsey was only that loud and honest with a few people, and he seemed especially upset by the neglect his father had taken to specializing in. ' Well, Luas, maybe if Doctor finds out you're sleeping on a bench, he'll move back here and you can stay with him without leaving school... that'd be good. You should've brought your backpack, though. At least a few poptarts to get you through.' Deciding this position was boring, Lucas turned around and put his legs over the back of the bench, his head hanging off the edge. Well, this put things in perspective. Literally, all he could do was look up. ' Hm, not too bad, Lucas Rydell. You're getting poetic. If only you could be this interested in things you have to do, maybe you'd do better.' He thought about taking out his mp3, but decided he didn't feel like doing all that shifting around to get it out of his pocket. Why were jean pockets like that, anyway? Why was it so hard to get something out of them while sitting down? One of life's many questions that he didn't feel like answering any more than he felt like challenging. Maybe he should get up, his head was feeling a little woozy... Lucas started to sit up, but decided against it two inches in. ' Or you could just sit there and let your blood all flow to your head. That's an option too. But Doctor Ramsey would kick you in the head for it.'
